Teacher jailed for having sex with schoolboy after husband caught them on SECRET CAMERA

A teaching assistant has been jailed for sexual activity with a teenage pupil after she was secretly filmed with the boy – by her husband.

Sarah Candy, 36, was caught “kissing and cuddling” the youngster on her marital bed after husband James, 41, set up a hidden camera.

A court heard just a week earlier Candy had told her husband of 19 years she wanted to leave him in March.

But he soon became suspicious about her regular contact with a teenage boy at the school where she taught.

Candy was rumbled after James turned detective and filmed footage of her with the pupil after leaving his phone on record in their bedroom.

Northampton Crown Court heard the footage showed the teaching assistant kissing and cuddling the boy on the bed.

The devastated husband passed the footage on to the police and his wife was charged with sexual activity with a boy aged under 16.

Candy, of Corby, Northants., pleaded guilty at the first opportunity and was jailed for 12 months on Thursday.

Sentencing her, Judge Lynn Tayton QC said there was a “clear sexual element” to the contact between the teaching assistant and the boy.

She added: “This is clearly a case that crosses the custody threshold.”

Prosecutor Mary Prior told the court when the husband confronted his wife about the footage of her with the boy she claimed they were just “play fighting”.

Candy is likely to serve half the sentence in custody before being released on licence

Under-age sex messages man ordered not to contact children

A Perth man who was involved in sexual communication with an under-age teenage girl was ordered not to have any further contact with children.

Kieran Ferguson, 20, of Tweedsmuir Road, was also put on the sex offenders’ register for two years and ordered to carry out two years’ supervision as part of a community programme order.

Perth Sheriff Court heard that contact was made with a girl on Facebook.

Depute Fiscal Stuart Richardson said: “An adult carried out a check of the girl’s social media account by logging on to it and some photographs of the girl were found, showing naked parts of her body.

“The adult also found sexual communication with regard to the pair talking about meeting up for sex.

“The adult was concerned so police were contacted and Ferguson admitted the offence.

“He told officers he had forgotten about the girl’s age.”

Ferguson admitted that on October 5, 2014, at Eden Square, Tibbermore, he sent a sexual communication to a girl asking her to send pictures of her naked body to him.

He also pleaded guilty to a separate offence that on January 8 this year, at Scott Street, at its junction with Mill Street, Perth, he assaulted a man by punching him on the head.

Sentencing Ferguson, Sheriff Gillian Wade told him: “You have managed to carry out two very serious offences – both of which can attract custodial sentences.

“That is not an acceptable way to behave.”

She ordered Ferguson not to have any contact with children aged under-17 unless accompanied by a person aged over 21 and without notifying his social worker supervisor beforehand.

In addition, he was ordered to carry out 180 hours’ unpaid work for the assault

Mother’s fury as Hackney paedophile avoids jail

900

The mother of a girl who was just 11 when a sex pest sent her indecent images has expressed her disgust he was not jailed.

Charlie Stefano, 22, of Gadsden House, Digby Road, Lower Clapton, insisted on his innocence until the moment he was about to take the dock in the Old Bailey last Wednesday – when he changed his plea to guilty of making indecent photos.

He was in possession of 11 photos of the young girl – who cannot be identified for legal reasons – and had sent her pictures of himself.

The judge told the court Stefano could avoid jail – despite holding out his “not guilty” plea until the last minute – because the probation officer gave him a good reference and believed he had learned a lesson and was remorseful.

The girl’s mother said: “I’m so angry at the fact that even after admitting it that he evaded prison.

“He’s got away with so much.

“It’s been two years of hell, not knowing whether my child was going to have to stand up in the dock.

“He asked her to go to the bathroom and take different pictures of herself and take her clothes off.

“They found he had been sending him pictures of his private parts as well and there were conversations of him asking her for pictures. He’s ruined our lives.”

Her daughter has been through psychotherapy and counselling, and has been unable to sleep.

“It’s been traumatising for her. It has ruined her life. She’s not the girl she used to be. She’s private. More inward. She doesn’t go out on her own. She’s a changed person.

“She got into a lot of trouble at school where she had outbursts. She’s a very frustrated and angry little girl now.

“It makes me feel like I’ve failed as a mum because at the end of the day we are there to protect our children.”

Stefano has been put on the sex offenders’ register, been given 160 hours’ community service, and a five-year sexual harm prevention order, as well as being banned from being around children under 16 unsupervised.

Vile paedophile from Folkestone has been jailed for 24 years

gird

A judge has handed out a 30 year sentence to a Folkestone pensioner branded as a “wicked” paedophile who filmed his “grotesque” attacks.

Vile Leslie Girdlestone, a 71-year-old computer expert, had admitted 22 sex offences against five child victims.

A judge at Canterbury Crown Court heard how he used his expertise in computers to hide thousands of images he had also downloaded from the Internet’s “Dark” Web.

Now Girdlestone, of Cheriton Road, has been told he will be 87 years old before he can even apply for bail.

Judge Simon James jailed him for 24 years and then added an extra six years on licence if the dangerous sex offender is ever released.

Under sentencing rules, Girdlestone has to serve two-thirds of the main sentence before being eligible for release.

But he will  only be released if the Parole Board consider he no longer poses a threat to children.

Police, who raided his home, discovered more than 500 hours of recordings of his sick acts on young children.

Judge James told him: “You seriously sexually abused and raped your victims, leaving them with serious and permanent effects.

“What makes your offending particularly grotesque was that you filmed many of these acts.”

Deborah Charles, prosecuting, told the court that he had also amassed a disturbing collection “ of the worse kind of child pornography” from the Internet , depicting degrading acts on very young children.

“It was, “ she added “the most serious of its type.”

The judge told him: “You have not shown any real insight or real remorse for your crimes, together with an abject lack of victim empathy and you are an individual; who poses a significant risk to children.”

After ordering Girdlestone to be taken downstairs to begin his sentence, the judge addressed the families of the victims, who sat in the public gallery.

He said: “It is impossible for me not to have been touched by the Victim Impact Statements from the victims and their parents and their sense of anger and concern.

“I fear there is nothing I can say to alleviate those perfectly understandable emotions.”

The judge added that they should know that “the only person in court who is guilty of these wicked crimes is the man I just sent to prison.”

The families also heard the judge tell them that their “love and fortitude” for the victims “shines out” and he hoped they could now concentrate on the future.

Man jailed for twice making young girl pregnant

A PAEDOPHILE who twice got a teenage girl pregnant has had his jail term extended.

Mark Lillywhite, 34, was jailed for four years in 2008, after he was convicted of taking part in sexual activity with a 13-year-old child.

But now Lillywhite, of Hollow Lane, Dormansland, has received an extra nine-month sentence, after he had sex with her again while on bail for the original offence.

On both occasions, the sexual activity resulted in the teenage girl falling pregnant.

The first time she had an abortion but, on the second occasion, she gave birth to a child, which is now two-years-old.

Guildford Crown Court heard on Tuesday how Lillywhite was currently serving time behind bars for the first offence committed in 2005.

On that occasion Lillywhite had denied having sex, claiming the girl had impregnated herself from a condom he had used with his girlfriend.

The court was told the girl, now aged 16, had been obsessed with Lillywhite for nearly four years.

Prosecuting, David Povall said Lillywhite was initially arrested in 2006 and charged with having sexual activity with a child.

He said: “While on bail, he saw the girl at a party and they had consensual sex in a bathroom, as a result of which she became pregnant again.”

Mr Povall said Lillywhite admitted the second offence, which took place in November 2006, after DNA testing showed he was the father of the child, which is now aged two.

Mitigating, Natalie Sherbourne said her client hoped to move away from the area and settle in Derby, where he has close ties.

Jailing him for the second time in 18 months, judge Michael Addison said it was an unusual case.

He said: “The girl was totally infatuated with you and even came to court on the previous occasion to tell lies on your behalf.”

However, the judge refused to make an order banning the defendant from working with children.

He added: “I don’t think it is likely that you will commit an offence with another child.”

Colwyn Bay ex-Tory councillor weeps in dock as he’s jailed for Grindr sex with boy, 14

john-raeney-1

A disgraced Conservative councillor and former Christian youth worker broke down in the dock as he was jailed for child sex offences.

John George Reaney had arranged to meet a 14-year-old boy via the gay dating site Grindr.

Reaney, 51, who resigned from Colwyn Bay Town Council after he was charged last summer, claimed he thought the boy was 16.

Jailing him today at Mold Crown Court, Judge Niclas Parry told Reaney that he had “taken a deliberate risk” when he met the boy on June 29 last year.

The judge told him: “In your heart you knew the male you had met less than an hour earlier was under 16, clearly so.

“You were controlled by your sexual urges and they overcame your reason.”

The judge said he was sure Reaney understood fully that the law he broke was there to protect young children

“Your victim’s mother truly knew what was good for him and what was bad for him,” he said, but the boy had defied her.

Judge Parry said he accepted that there was no pre-planning and no grooming, and until he met the boy he believed he was meeting an adult for consensual sexual activity.

But he told him: “When you saw him, you should have left.”

Reaney had no previous convictions but had clearly “acted out of character in a moment of madness,” the judge added.

Mold Crown Court heard how he told police he “got swept along in the moment” and said the boy had convinced him he was 16 after originally telling him via the site that he was 18 but looked younger.

Reaney picked him up in his car at a Tesco car park in another north Wales town and then drove him to his then home where the sexual activity took place.

He said he “asked him and asked him again” about his age.

Reaney, now 51, at the time of Llanelian Heights, Old Colwyn, but who is now living in Woodland Avenue, Ormskirk, denied inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and sexual touching on the basis he believed he was 16.

But the jury took just over an hour to convict him.

The court heard how he was a man of good character, well thought of in the church who worked with young people.

He was described as a talented man with a heart of gold by those who gave references.

His local MP David Jones , former Secretary of State for Wales, said he and his wife met him through their church, he had known Reaney for about 11 years, he was active in the social life of the church and was a chorister and reader.

He was a fine singer who gave concerts to raise funds for charitable events and had secured the Tory nomination for the town council, the court heard.

Reaney was jailed for 16 months and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years

Sex ring jailed for ‘degrading, violent and horrible’ exploitation of young teens

1565

Abdirashid Abdulahi, Sakariya Hassan Sheikh & Mohammed Ismail Dahir

Three men who were part of an inner city sex ring involving the abuse, rape and trafficking of young girls have been jailed.

Teenagers, as young as 13, were subjected to “degrading, violent and horrible” sexual abuse by the Somali men in Bristol.

Some of the girls were given drugs and alcohol and were “pestered again and again” for sex by the men, who were mostly older teenagers.

Bristol Crown Court heard the rapes became “routine” and the men regarded some of the victims, who cannot be named, as “cheap and easy”.

Seven Somali men went on trial at the beginning of September accused of 46 charges.

A jury convicted three of the men of 14 charges, including trafficking, sexual assault and rape, following 11 days of deliberations.

Judge Peter Blair QC jailed Sakariya Sheikh, 23, for 16 years, and Mohammed Dahir, 24 and Abdirashid Abdulahi, 23, both for eight years.

Sheikh further admitted two counts of cannabis supply.

“You have brought shame upon your families and upon yourselves,” the judge told them.

“You are not worthy of very much further attention in this court room. My attention is focused upon the victims of your crimes.

“They were four children trying to find their way in life, some of them struggling with difficult issues at home.

“You used your older age, your personal freedom and your relative stronger power to manipulate and coerce them into becoming for you little more than objects to satisfy you sexually.”

The judge described the consequences of the abuse on the victims as “disastrous”.

“You made them feel worthless, dirty, unloved,” he told the defendants.

“Their pain goes on and so it will for you now. They are at long last receiving some measure of justice from your convictions. Their very brave and difficult decision to give evidence against you has been vindicated and I pay tribute to them.”

During the trial, the court heard much of the exploitation took place at homes in the city between 2009 and 2013 on four victims, aged between 13 and 15.

The trial, codenamed Operation Button, was the third in a series of prosecutions of Somali men for child sexual exploitation and drugs offences.

In two earlier trials in 2014, codenamed Operation Brooke, 14 men were jailed for more than 100 years.

The three convicted defendants in Operation Button – rapists Sheikh and Abdulahi and pimp Dahir – were also found guilty in Operation Brooke.

The case follows similar exploitation of girls across English towns and cities such as Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford and Telford.

Facebook pervert had sex with underage schoolgirl at the same time another was pregnant with his baby

dant

A pervert groomed two 14-year-old schoolgirls on Facebook, having sex with one of them while the other was pregnant with his child.

Sick Daniel Thomas, 24, has been jailed for 10 years after pestering the girls on social media to share naked selfie pictures and having sex with them both.

A court heard he then went on to have sex with the schoolgirls despite a formal warning from police to stay away.

Prosecutor Craig Jones said: “He befriended and had sexual intercourse with both children.

“One girl’s mother tried to stop contact between them. Police issued an abduction notice, which forbade Thomas from having more contact with her daughter.

“But this man had impregnated her and she underwent a termination at hospital.”

Thomas invited the second girl to his house in Llandrindod Wells, Wales, around the same time the first girl was having her termination.

Mr Jones said: “They smoked cannabis together. She began to feel tired. It was then that they started touching and then had sexual intercourse.”

Thomas was arrested in November 2015 in relation to the first schoolgirl but denied the sexual relationship.

He was again arrested in the December when allegations about the second girl came to light, which he again denied.

Cardiff Crown Court heard police found 17 indecent images of one of the girls in “various stages of undress” in a computer folder named “well well”.

He pleaded guilty before his trial to seven counts of sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual intercourse, possession indecent photographs of a child and possession of cannabis.

Judge Thomas Crowther QC said Thomas had been arrested over a “very similar scenario” with another teenager just weeks before he met the two 14-year-old girls.

Judge Crowther told Thomas: “You had effectively been warned off, but you simply continued thinking only of yourself and your pleasure.

“Whatever your level of maturity, you have an adult sexual appetite.”

Thomas was jailed for 10 years, and given restraining orders against his two victims as well as a sexual harm prevention order

Life coach guilty of grooming Airdrie schoolboy over month-long period

A SELF-STYLED “global coach” who claims to have visited 138 countries faces the prospect of being jailed after admitting trying to “groom” an Airdrie schoolboy through social media.

Paedophile Roderick Beaumont, 60, pleaded guilty at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday to intentionally sending written messages of a sexual nature from a house on North Calder Drive, Petersburn, on various occasions between December 30 last year and January 24.

Prosecutor Agnes Meek told the court that Beaumont, who specialises in “youth impact coaching” and claims to have “successfully coached” children as young as 10, sent the messages to the boy, who was 15 at the time.

She said: “A warrant was issued for police to seize his laptop and mobile phone, which had been sent to the boy from various places in Airdrie, Coatbridge and elsewhere.”

Sheriff Petra Collins said: “Obviously this is a very serious case and I will call for background reports before sentencing you.”

In an online interview boastful Beaumont describes himself as “motivational, inspirational, professional and above all, authentic”.

He continues: “I have the ability to make people be at ease and work with me.

“I enjoy empowering my clients to reach their goals and dreams and to over come their limiting beliefs and fears.

“Everything I do is designed to unleash that inner potential that lies within each of us.”

Beaumont is also quoted as saying: “My clients find their lives positively affected as a result of our sessions.

“In particular my youth clients (12-26) and their families report significant positive changes.”

Beaumont’s lawyer told the court that his client was no longer working and was not claiming benefits.

Sheriff Collins deferred sentence until December 5, calling for a full range of background reports, including a risk assessment as to the danger he poses to children.

Beaumont, who now lives in Dundee, was placed on the sex offenders’ register.

Sheriff Collins also called for a victim impact statement from the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, before sentencing.

Chelmsford dad caught looking at indecent images by his son

dad

A Chelmsford dad was caught looking at indecent images of children by his son – who then called the police.

Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court heard how Graham Hellewell, 73, was looking at indecent images on his computer when his son walked into the room.

Stephen Sparkes, prosecuting, told the court how Hellewell had closed the screen when his son entered the lounge of their family home in Jeffcut Road.

“He came downstairs before 6am in the morning and looking into the lounge he saw his dad looking at the computer and said he could see a woman’s face on the screen and his dad closed the screen,” said Mr Sparkes.

“He saw a grey USB stick in the computer and later found it behind the computer and looked on it, because he was concerned by what he thought may have been on it. He could see indecent images of children were held on it.”

Mr Sparkes told the court how in the early hours of the morning on July 8 police arrived at the house and carried out a search.

They found more than 2,000 indecent images of children across two USB drives, a USB stick and on the computer.

He pleaded guilty to seven counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing indecent photographs of children.

He will be sentenced on November 8

Great Yarmouth man given 24 year jail sentence for raping three children

A 37-year-old man who sexually abused children has been jailed for 24 years.

Craig McCabe, of Albany Road, Great Yarmouth, appeared at Norwich Crown Court for sentencing today.

He had previously pleaded guilty to 11 offences; nine counts of rape and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity committed between 2011 and 2016.

Detective Sergeant Stacey Murray, from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, which led the enquiry, said: “This was a horrendous case and the sentence imposed demonstrates this. I hope it provides some closure to the victims.

“We hope such a result will help to reassure victims that we will always investigate any allegations of sexual abuse thoroughly and as a consequence bring offenders to justice.”

McCabe was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.

A Doncaster woman has been jailed for four years for sex offences against two schoolboys

Stephanie Embley, aged 35, of Pine Road, Cantley, was found guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a child after a trial.

In an earlier hearing she entered guilty pleas to four counts of sexual activity with a child.

The charges relate to two underage male victims.

A police probe was launched in May after a relative of one of the victims reported their concerns about Embley.

Ambulance worker who appeared on Embarrassing Bodies is revealed as a paedophile

roberts

A well-known former ambulance worker who appeared on the TV show Embarrassing Bodies has been jailed for child abuse.

Keith Roberts was caught when a victim’s dad spotted his daughter pulling up her underwear through the window of his caravan home.

The pensioner, known in Stockton as ‘Skippy’, won parents’ trust after others told them he was the “salt of the earth”.

The veteran ambulance technician had appeared on the Channel 4 show, where he underwent an operation on his penis.

But he’s now been locked up after he admitted abusing two primary school pupils.

“They had both said they didn’t want it – but he didn’t stop,” said prosecutor Rupert Doswell.

“He had tried to tickle one victim, but she slapped him.”

The 68-year-old plied the youngster with WKD alcopops and gave one a fiver in a desperate bid to keep his shameful secret.

He would take children to McDonald’s and on bike rides – even painting their faces.

But Teesside Crown Court heard how Roberts assaulted the girls.

At yesterday’s hearing, a victim’s parents said Roberts’ crimes had shattered them.

“It plays on my mind every time I see (my daughter),” said one dad.

“I feel like my battery has been drained and I can’t move forward.

“I hold a lot of guilt about what happened.”

The dad added he’d had concerns about Roberts, who would have children regularly popping in and out of his caravan, but he had been told he was a “good man”.

“Most people seemed to like him and referred to him as the salt of the earth,” said Mr Doswell about Roberts.

And the dad added: “He had us all fooled.

“I need him to know how much he has hurt my family.”

Appearing via video link, Roberts pleaded guilty to sexual touching and attempting to touch the girls.

He denied charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, which will now lie on file.

The acts were carried out at the start of October, but just over a month since his arrest, Roberts is now starting a 40 month prison sentence.

Jailing him, Judge Stephen Ashurst said: “You have thrown away that good character by your decision to assault two girls.

“There was, in my judgement, grooming.”

And he criticised Roberts’ attempts to silence his victims, who were not related to him, after warning them “Uncle Skippy” could be locked up if anyone every found out.

“It’s appalling behaviour of adults to try and put their behaviour on to children in respect of their own sexual conduct,” added Judge Ashurst.

“You behaviour has caused very considerable stress and anxiety to the families involved.”

He also made Roberts subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which could limit his contact with children for the rest of his life.

Pervert who had sick video of young girl pretended he was a ‘paedophile hunter’

A MAN who claimed to be a “paedophile hunter” has been given a suspended prison sentence for downloading indecent images of children.

William Pearson, 21, was arrested on December 19 last year when police searched his Norton home and seized computer equipment.

He told police he had viewed images of child abuse because he wanted to root out paedophiles, York Crown Court heard.

But analysis of his computer showed he had watched a six-minute video featuring a young girl.

Pearson, of East Road, admitted he had watched the clip, which he had downloaded twice, for his own sexual gratification. He had pleaded guilty to one count of making indecent images of a child, and was sentenced last week.

He said that during Pearson’s first police interview – before his computer equipment had been analysed – the defendant claimed he was an anti-paedophile “campaigner” trying to unmask child abusers.

“He said he was trying to identify offenders and engage them in conversation (online), and in order to do so acquired some abusive material he could share with them,” added Mr Parsons.

There was no evidence to suggest Pearson had sent images to other paedophiles, but he did admit using a drop-box system to store indecent files.

“He admitted getting sexual gratification from the content of these images of children, which the Crown says gives the lie to his earlier account that he was doing this to track paedophiles,” said the barrister.

Pearson, who has no previous convictions, made full admissions in his second police interview after his computer equipment had been examined.

Pearson’s solicitor advocate David Camidge conceded that his young client had tried to con police by claiming he was a “paedophile hunter”.

He said Pearson was an “isolated” figure who had resigned from his job following his arrest and had put his life on hold during the court proceedings.

Paedo downloaded child abuse images then blamed his wife and children

67

A paedophile from Worcester who was found to have thousands of indecent pictures of children tried to blame his wife and children.

Judge Robert Juckes QC described the images on father-of-three James Devine’s computer as the ‘worst and most disturbing kind’

He was arrested when his wife, who has started divorce proceedings, complained to police and his computer was seized.

Jailing him for just under two years, Judge Juckes said: ‘Instead of accepting your responsibility, which would have avoided the finger of blame being pointed at others, you named your wife and three children as people who had access, the plain implication being they may have been responsible for the images.’

Devine, 51, admitted making indecent images of children at Winchester Crown Court a week before he was due to face trial.

Prosecutor Paul Cook said the images were all stored in ‘an inaccessible space’ within the computer that his family would not be able to find easily.

Devine, a former IT manager, was interviewed on July 10, 2015 where he stated he was not the only person who had access to the devices the police had seized.

As a result his family were interviewed by police as part of their investigation.

Mr Cook added: ‘He gave the name of his wife and the names of his children and thereafter declined to comment.’

Devine was also ordered to sign the Sex Offender’s Register for 10 years, banned from contacting his wife and children and told to pay a £120 victim surcharge.

Lorry driver who downloaded ‘depraved’ images of child abuse is jailed for 20 months

robey

A LORRY driver who downloaded “depraved” images, some featuring children being abused by adults, was yesterday given a 20-month prison sentence.

John Paul Robey was visited by police on February 10, as a result of information received during a long-term investigation into online distribution of indecent images of children.

Durham Crown Court heard his IP address emerged during the inquiry as someone who had downloaded such material.

When police arrived at his home in Bowburn, near Durham, he said he knew what it was about.

Stephen Littlewood, prosecuting, said they spanned the range of severity for such images, but 45 were in the top bracket, 32 of them moving.

Mr Littlewood said the children featured included some considered to be in the six-month to three-year age bracket, plus others up to about 12-years-old.

The 45-year-old defendant, of Bede Terrace, Bowburn, admitted possessing indecent images of children, amassed between April, 2010, and February this year.

Paul Abrahams, mitigating, said the defendant, who has mild learning difficulties, is of previous good character.

“He accepts he will be sentenced on the basis he searched for, and viewed them for his pleasure.”

Jailing Robey, Judge Christopher Prince said given the depravity of some of the images, only an immediate sentence was justified.

Robey was made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, “until further notice”, and he must register as a sex offender for ten years.

Foster carer filmed himself abusing 13-year-old girl

A former foster carer repeatedly filmed himself abusing a 13-year-old girl.

Clifford Warde, 50, also groomed a 14-year-old on the internet and was caught when her mother read the sexual messages he sent her daughter.

The shocked mother immediately phoned the police who seized 50-year-old Clifford Warde’s phone and found videos of him having sex with his 13-year-old victim.

At the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday, Warde, from Clackmannanshire, admitted grooming a 14-year-old for sex and sexually abusing the other teenage girl.

He committed the offences between November 2014 and March 2016.

First offender Warde worked as a self-employed courier as well as being a foster carer.

Prosecutor Mark McGuire told judge Lord Boyd the messages sent to the 14-year-old girl were “too graphic” to read in open court.

Mr McGuire said: “The accused’s initially told the girl she had pretty eyes after she sent him a selfie and gave her a virtual kiss.

“His conduct moved from the inappropriate to the criminal when he suggested he should come and pick her up and take her for a drive.”

The court heard Warde sent a series of sexually explicit messages to the girl. They were discovered when her mother checked her Facebook usage and she immediately contacted the police.

Warde targeted his other victim when she turned 13. He began by texting her graphic messages and then progressed to engaging in illegal sexual activity with her.

Mr McGuire said: “The sexual messaging was graphic and explicit.”

The court was told on a number of occasions Warde recorded himself sexually abusing the girl.

Mr McGuire added: “At no time during this abuse did the accused ever use contraception.”

The girl, when asked about the video recording by police, told them she had felt embarrassed about them being made.

In court, Warde admitted making arrangements for the 14-year-old girl to travel to meet him with the intention of taking part in unlawful sexual activity.

He also pleaded guilty to having under-age sex with the other girl and sending her sexually explicit messages.

Lord Boyd deferred sentence on Warde until December 7 for background reports.

Derby man jailed for sexually assaulting young girl

A 27-year-old man who sexually assaulted a young girl has been jailed for almost two years.

Michael Dunmore reached under the girl’s clothes to indecently touch her at a house in Normanton.

Dunmore, of Pear Tree Street, Derby, had been drunk at the time, heard Derby Crown Court.

He was found guilty, by a jury, of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 years of age.

Jailing him for 22 months, Judge Nirmal Shant QC said: “In this case you’ve involved yourself in activity which, having heard the trial, I have no doubt was due to the large amount of drink you consumed on that day, and it was an isolated incident.

“Having said that, if you can behave in this way in drink you do present a risk to both male and female children. You touched her under clothing and to a large extent what has caused this is drink, which is not an excuse but gives some explanation of why this happened.”

Dunmore must sign the sexual offenders’ register for 10 years and must obey a sexual harm prevention order indefinitely. Judge Shant told him it was “highly likely” that he would be barred from working with children and vulnerable adults.

Pensioner who covered up her police officer husband’s historic abuse of their two adopted girls and whipped one with a dog lead is jailed

end

A pensioner who helped cover up her police officer husband’s abuse of their two adopted girls has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.

June Entecott, 80, was also found guilty of using a dog lead to whip one of the girls.

She and her half-sister Brenda Ball, 71, lied to prevent PC John Hudson from being prosecuted for sexually abusing the girls who were adopted in the 1960s and 1970s.

Hudson, who served on the Met’s Vice Squad, was never brought to justice and died in 2008.

Marina Narayan was just six when the abuse began but it was ‘brushed under the carpet’ by authorities . Meanwhile, Shelagh Largan was put through a ‘living hell’ by Entecott and her husband.

Both Entecott and Ball were convicted by a Southwark Crown Court jury of perverting the course of justice by covering up the abuse to help the officer avoid persecution.

Entecott was also found guilty of whipping one of the girls with a dog lead but cleared of physically abusing the other child. She shook her head after the verdicts saying: ‘I can’t believe this, how can you be guilty of something you never done.

‘I have done nothing and I’m getting guilty. I never done anything.’

Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith said the case had been ‘very disturbing’ and jailed Entecott for four-and-a-half years.

He said: ‘The jury were sure that your husband John Hudson sexually assaulted Marina Narayan and Shelagh Largan, they were sure that that you, his then wife, knew it following your discovery of Marina on his knee, and they were sure that you did what you could to keep those sexual assaults hidden from the outside world.

‘You put your own interests ahead of anybody else’s and that has been a pattern – not the only pattern – in your life.

‘You have presented an image to the outside world of a loving and caring person, whereas to those two young adopted girls you were cruel, and on occasions even brutal.’

He continued: ‘You have continued to try to prevent the offences from coming to light, and it’s only the determination of Marina Narayan which has brought a properly prepared and presented prosecution to come before a jury to consider.’

Judge Loraine-Smith handed Ball a eight-month suspended sentence after noting that she had ‘loved’ the girls and been ‘bullied’ into hiding the abuse by Entecott.

‘You were clearly very much under the influence of your sister,’ he said.

‘You loved them and they loved you, it’s a huge pity that you chose to conceal the truth about John Hudson to the police in September 1999.’

Endecott and Ball’s family members screamed abuse at Mrs Narayan, who sat in the jury bench as the sentences were passed.

A group of around four relatives screamed ‘rot in hell’ and ‘it’s a disgrace’.

Earlier prosecutor Toby FitzGerald said: ‘Allegations made by the second girl in 1979 were brushed under the carpet by the authorities at that time and they did not proceed.

‘In 1999, 20 years later, a complaint was made by both victims to the police and there was a police investigation.

‘These defendants in this case, June Entecott and Brenda Ball, were keen that Entecott’s husband was never brought to trial.’

In April 1979, Mrs Narayan, now 50, reported Mr Hudson to a teacher but it was ‘brushed under the carpet,’ the court heard.

In 1999, she and Largan, now aged 60, complained to police, but following witness statements from both Entecott and Ball he was not prosecuted.

Mr FitzGerald said: ‘It is the Crown’s case that the defendants in this case were keen that Entecott’s husband was never brought to trial: neither in 1979, 1999 or indeed to the day he died in 2008.

Ms Largan waived her anonymity and spoke out about the way she had been subjected to abuse from Entecott in a victim impact statement.

‘She treated me like she hated me,’ she told the court.

‘She just wanted to hurt me, she just wanted to do whatever she could do to make my life a misery – physically, mentally and verbally.

‘It was a living hell for me. I had always felt intimidated by her.’

Speaking after the sentencing hearing, Mrs Narayan came forward to slam Lambeth Council and the Met for failing to take her allegations seriously in the past.

She said: ‘I have waived my anonymity rights in the hope that my story will give other victims of abuse the courage and inspiration to seek their own justice.

‘I have battled for decades to achieve this result.

‘It was 1979 when I first spoke out about the abuse and as a 13-year-old child I was branded a liar.

‘Lambeth Council and the police, the very authorities whose job it was to protect me, let me down abysmally.

‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank DC Elaine Hutton and her team, together with the CPS, for their tireless efforts in bringing my case to court.’

Mrs Narayan said she had now ‘got a sense of peace’, but added she was ‘sorry Ball was dragged into it because she was very kind to me’.

Entecott, of Chatham, Kent, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for doing an act tending to pervert the course of public justice and one charge of child cruelty.

She was cleared of a second child cruelty offence.

Ball, of Orpington, Kent, was handed an eight-month sentence suspended for 12 months for doing an act tending to pervert the course of public justice.

Airdrie paedophile pleads guilty to possessing thousands of sick child images

A SALSBURGH paedophile who went on the run during a child pornography trial has admitted downloading more than 2000 sickening images of children.

Pervert Hugh McGuinness, 48, of Bogfoot Road, pleaded guilty at Airdrie Sheriff Court to taking or permitting to be taken or making indecent images of young children, many of which were of the worst kind. McGuinness downloaded the images at his home between April 2013 and December 2014.

Bearded McGuinness showed no emotion and was handcuffed to a court official after having previously gone on the run during July’s jury trial which had to be aborted after two days of evidence.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was tracked down a number of weeks later.

McGuinness admitted failing to appear for solemn proceedings.

Prosecutor Liam Haggart told the court that McGuinness first appeared in private charged with child pornography offences in December 2014 and was granted bail pending trial.

However he failed to appear at court for the third day of his trial, which had to be halted and the jurors dismissed.

Mr Haggart said: “He is single, has no children, is unemployed and lives alone.

“Police originally obtained a search warrant in December 2014 to enter his home. A search was carried out and they seized three devices, a computer, laptop and mobile phone.

“The cyber crime unit carried out an examination of the devices and made a report to my office.”

Sheriff Frank Pieri was told 1748 still images were found on McGuinness’ computer, 249 of which were in the worst category. They also found four videos within the computer, two of which were also of the most severe kind.

On the laptop they discovered a further 210 still images of young children, 14 of which were in the worst category, and 30 videos, with 18 in the most serious grade.

McGuinness’ mobile phone contained 39 indecent images of children, four of which were category “A”.

Sheriff Pieri told McGuinness: “Given the nature of the offences I will call for a full range of reports before sentence.”

Sentence was deferred until November 21, with the sheriff calling for a criminal jusice social work report, including a risk assessment as to the danger McGuinness poses to children.

He was placed on the sex offenders’ register and remanded in custody.
