Paedophile had images of children being raped

alex

Watford man Alexander Turbayne has been caught with depraved images of youngsters being sexually abused on his computer.

An examination of his computer tower, a phone, a broken laptop and USB storage device found he had downloaded still and video clips.

St Albans crown court was told last week that some of the material was of the very worst kind.

Stand up comedian Turbayne, 32, of Cecil Street, Watford appeared to be sentenced for making indecent photos of a child following his conviction at West Herts Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor Michael Speak told the court that officers went to the defendant’s home on January 8, 2015.

The prosecutor said that there were still images and moving images which showed material of the very worst kind, including a girl aged around seven being raped.

In all, Turbayne had downloaded 1,808 still images and 24 video clips showing child sex abuse.

Judge Marie Catterson sentenced him to a three-year community order and told him he will also be on supervision and must attend an internet sex offender programme.

He was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order and his name will be added to the Sex Offenders Register.

He was ordered to pay costs of £320.

A MAN caught with more than 200 indecent images and videos of children denied they were for his sexual gratification.

Daniel Waite, 33, received a suspended prison sentence at York Crown Court where the judge said “You’ve got to rid yourself of the need to look at images like these.”

Chris Dunne, prosecuting, said Waite was arrested at his home in Poppy Close, Selby on August 17 last year.

Police searched the house and a hundreds of indecent images were found.

There were 37 images and eight videos classed as category A – the most serious kind.

Police found a further 85 images and nine videos rated category B and 140 images and eight videos labelled category C.

Waite also had four prohibited images of children – those of an inappropriate rather than sexual nature.

Mr Dunne said: “He categorically stated that he had no sexual interest in children.”

Waite, who had no previous convictions, admitted three counts of possessing indecent images of children, three of making indecent images and one of possessing a prohibited image at an earlier hearing.

Mark Partridge, for Waite, said a pre-sentence report pointed to how Waite’s living situation may have contributed to his offending.

He said Waite’s reason for viewing the images was “unusual” and for thrill-seeking rather than sexual motivation.

“He is motivated to avoid a repeat. It was a wake-up call for him to have been arrested by the police,” said Mr Partridge.

Recorder Alistair Macdonald QC told Waite: “I just don’t know what could lead someone like you to get involved with downloading child pornographic images.

“It’s very difficult to understand how the motivation could have been anything other than sexual gratification.

“This offence goes way beyond the custody threshold.”

Judge Macdonald added that Waite was in a stable relationship and had a young child.

Waite was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, for each count, with the terms running concurrently.

Judge Macdonald said: “You’ve got to rid yourself of the need to look at images like these.”

Waite was put on a sexual offenders’ treatment programme and given a sexual offences prevention order.

Former Clywd youth theatre director indecently assaulted teenage boy

holl

A former theatre director “abused his position of trust” when he indecently assaulted a teenage boy.

Caernarfon Crown Court heard that William Derek Hollins “targeted” the teenager when he was on a Clwyd Youth Theatre course in the 1980s.

Hollins, 79, of Mold Road, Buckley, was handed an 18-month suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault.

Hollins had previously been handed an identical suspended jail term in October 1993 following two charges of gross indecency, which also took place in the 1980s.

Prosecutor Anne Pope told the court that in both incidents the victim woke up after being plied with alcohol to find Hollins performing a sexual act om him without his consent.

When first interviewed by police, Hollins admitted sexual activity with the teenager but was adamant it was fully consensual.

Hollins only admitted his guilt today, just before the case was about to go to trial.

Sentencing Hollins to two concurrent 18 month sentences, Judge Gaynor Lloyd describing his actions as “clear examples of grooming”.

She added: “With previous convictions of a similar nature, you are not of good character. You targeted a vulnerable young man who held you in high regard.”

Hollins was described in court as a “much respected and talented” director of the Clwyd Youth Theatre Group over many years.

Defending barrister John Barker said Holllins was in poor health after he suffered a second stroke last year which had a severe impact on his speech, memory and mobility.

Hollins remained seated throughout the hearing due to his poor health and the judge said his age and health played a large part in her decision to hand him as suspended sentence.

He was also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, preventing him from unsupervised contact with boys under the age of 18 over a period of 10 years.

He will also have to inform police of any changes in address or identity.

A FORMER minister of a Coulsdon church has been found guilty of sexual assault and child neglect.

Howard Curtis, 73, was convicted of six counts of sexual assault with no penetration at Croydon Crown Court on Thursday (March 24).

A jury also found Curtis guilty of neglecting a child and assaulting a child while minister at Coulsdon Christian Fellowship, which the trial heard he ran like a “cult”.

Curtis, now of Bloxworth Close, Wallington, was cleared of one count of actual bodily harm, two counts of indecent assault, two counts of assault on a child, one count of sexual assault with no penetration and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

The case has been adjourned until April 22 for the sentencing.

Paedophile hunters track down pervert who travelled 400 miles to meet ‘schoolgirl’

AppleMark

Anonymous paedophile hunters Dark Justice came out of the shadows to give evidence against a man from Devon posing as a policeman who planned to meet an underage girl.

The online group pose as schoolgirls during online conversations and turn up with video cameras, with the police in tow, when grown men arrange to meet them for sex.

They have been responsible for a total of 19 potential paedophiles being hauled through the courts – many now serving prison sentences – but their true identities have never been revealed publicly.

At Newcastle Crown Court last week the determined duo were unmasked when they gave evidence from the witness box against Daniel Morris.

Morris, 36, of Budleigh Salterton, Devon, had turned up to a meeting almost 400 miles away from his home with what he believed was a 15-year-old girl but was confronted on camera by the group.

Dark Justice had a file of chatlogs, containing highly explicit sexual photographs and messages, as well as footage of the meeting in Newcastle last September, which they handed over to the police.

But despite the damning evidence against Morris, who had told the underage decoy he was a “firearms sergeant” with the police and sent convincing photographs to back up his claim, denied any wrongdoing.

In his fake police uniform

police

He claimed during a trial he must have been set up and was no longer in possession of the phone being used to speak to the schoolgirl. Morris’ denials meant the group had to give evidence against him in court as prosecution witnesses.

His legal team claimed the group had manipulated the shocking online conversations to entrap Morris, which was rejected outright by the judge and jury.

Morris was found guilty of attempting to meet a child under 16 following sexual grooming and jailed for two years. He must sign the sex offenders register for ten years.

The trial was the first time Dark Justice have had to give evidence in court and be publicly interrogated by a defendant’s legal team.

All of their cases so far have resulted in a guilty plea due to the strength of the evidence they gather.

Pervert downloaded child abuse images featuring baby

chay

‘OVERWHELMING’ evidence has jailed a man who tried to blame his grandmother’s carers for child abuse images – featuring children as young as one – found on his laptop.

Still protesting his innocence, Chay Kowalczyk was jailed for 18 months by a judge at Warwick Crown Court.

Kowalczyk, 30, of Bawnmore Road, Rugby, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order restricting his use of the internet.

He had denied six charges of making indecent images of children between August 2012 and August 2014 – but had been found guilty after a three-day trial at the court in February.

Prosecutor Matthew Brook said that in August 2014 the police arrested Kowalczyk, who lived with his grandmother, on suspicion of downloading indecent images of children.

They seized his laptop, and he was taken to Rugby police station where he denied ever using it to look for child sexual abuse images – but claimed it was possible for people sat outside the house to hack into his internet.

Mr Brook said police found a number of indecent images of children on it, the majority of them having been deleted.

Some had been downloaded using software which had been used to carry out searches such as ‘pre-teen sex’ within an hour of being installed on Kowalczyk’s laptop in March 2014.

But when he was interviewed again, he again denied he had carried out the searches or that he had been looking at child pornography, said Mr Brook.

Kowalczyk claimed to the police and in his evidence in court that there were a lot of people who visited the house to care for his grandmother.

And he suggested one or more of them had used his computer without his knowledge to look at child pornography.

But Mr Brook commented: “It’s his laptop – it’s him using it to look at the images of child pornography.”

Following an adjournment for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, Recorder Gareth Evans QC observed: “It’s difficult for the author to recommend anything when he maintains his innocence.”

But Martin Liddiard, defending, handed in a number of references and a letter from Kowalczyk, which he said expressed ‘not strictly remorse, because there is no admission, but does show a degree of positivity for him for the future.’

And Mr Liddiard pointed out there was a probation programme ‘which is dedicated to deniers.’

But jailing Kowalczyk, Recorder Evans told him: “The jury found you guilty on what I find to be overwhelming evidence that you had used your computer to download child pornography.

“That is a despicable trade. Young children are made to perform sexual acts in front of cameras so perverts can view it.

“There are movies of children being tortured, in effect, for the sexual predilection of others.

“These were very young children. One of them was estimated to be about one year of age when it was subjected to sexual acts.

“I am afraid I am not going to deal with you in any way other than an immediate custodial sentence. I have to pass on you what I consider to be a deterrent sentence.”

A 20-year-old man has been jailed for sex offences involving children.

Tommie Hyland, 20, of Prestwick Road, South Oxhey was sentenced to seven years in prison today after pleading guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of rape.

Hyland, who also uses the surname Edwards, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child.

The victim was 13 and 14-years-old at the time of the separate incidents.

He was also sentenced for two counts of sexual activity with a 14-year-old child between July 29 and 3 August.

The 20-year-old also raped a 16-year-old girl in January 2014 and breached a sexual offences prevention order because he communicated with a girl under the age of 16 years in 2015.

Hyland also failed to notify police that he had moved addresses.

The sentences are to run concurrently.

He was given a three year extended license and will also be the subject of a notification order for an indefinite period.

Pervert jailed after grooming schoolgirl

A WOMAN trapped a Sedgley pervert by pretending to be her 11-year-old granddaughter.

Robert Hadley had a “real interest” in young girls and he had groomed the schoolgirl before attempting to arrange a meeting, where he hoped they would have sex.

But “fortunately” the Dudley grandmother discovered the messages the 36-year-old had been sending to the child’s phone, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

David Bennett, prosecuting, said the grandmother pretended to be the schoolgirl as Hadley asked for photographs of her in a state of undress and in her underwear.

He also sent a photograph of himself in his underwear to the girl’s phone before the grandmother alerted police and he was arrested.

“She saw what was going on and she is to be commended,” said Judge James Burbidge QC as he jailed Hadley of Netherby Road, for three years.

He said Hadley had knocked years of his age to get closer to the girl as he sent her a string of inappropriate messages about sexual matters.

“You then told the girl not to tell anyone else because it would get you into a lot of trouble,” he told Hadley, who has also made sexual overtures to a 14-year-old girl.

Hadley admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and also engaging the 14 -year-old girl into sexual activity.

He was made the subject of a 10 year sexual harm prevention order and told he must register as a sex offender for life.

Computer whizz who posed as teenager to groom young girl online

whizz

A computer whizz who set up a fake social media profile to ‘groom’ a young girl over the internet has been jailed.

Luke Cooper claimed to be a teenage girl to engage the victim in sexual conversations, Burnley Crown Court heard.

His crime was only uncovered when Cooper was standing trial for making indecent images of children.

The court was told that the hearing was adjourned when Cooper, of Higher Antley Street, Accrington, tried to ‘bamboozle’ prosecution computer experts with his ‘cleverness’ by making false technical claims to prove his computer had been hacked.

But when officers carried out further enquiries they discovered the ‘sinister’ social media messages.

This week Cooper, 25, admitted having the indecent images on his computer along with causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and possessing a prohibited weapon. He was jailed for 26 months and also given a sexual harm prevention order and police notification requirements for 10 years.

The court was told that police had seized Cooper’s computers and also found 510 indecent images, 220 videos and illegal pepper spray.

Burnley Crown Court heard how Cooper claimed he had been hacked, during the trial.

Robert Golinski, prosecuting, said officers raided his former home on Windermere Avenue in Huncoat on March 15 last year and found the indecent images on a ‘virtual hard drive’.

The most serious pictures involved children as young as four or five and some included animals.

Mr Golinski told the court: “He put forward the defence that he had been hacked and someone had gained access remotely and placed this material on his computer.

“The trial was adjourned after the police expert was tasked by the defendant to carry out substantial further work.”

He said officers then found the social media messages the defendant had sent to the girl posing as a teenager.

The court heard how Cooper asked the victim to show him her tongue, her ‘tummy’ and underwear and asked if she was ‘wearing a bra’.

Cooper then asked her if she would like to ‘mess around with a guy who was 20’ and if she would ever have a ‘secret guy’, the court was told

Defence barrister Robert Elias said Luke Cooper needed to ‘grow up or man up’.

He told the court: “This is a somewhat isolated but clever young man whose computer skills probably transcended his teachers.

“Instead of constructing proper relationships with real people he lived his life on the internet where he was manifestly superior in terms of technique and ability.

“In doing that he started collecting pornography including illegal pornography, partly perhaps because he could do it and partly no doubt because he found some of it sexually stimulating.

“His mindset was such that when that was uncovered he thought he could run the defence that he had been hacked and his technical ability was such that this court baulked at trying to unravel that issue.

“He was so bright that he thought he could bamboozle us with his cleverness but he has come crashing back down to Earth.

“The actual harm done is relatively limited.

“The girl was not sexually abused. She was chatted up by somebody far too old to have any healthy interest in her.

“This sort of offending is worrying. He needs to grow up or in other words man up.”

Judge Beverley Lunt said Cooper’s actions were ‘extraordinarily sinister’.

Sentencing, she said: “You obviously thought about this. There was planning involved. You groomed her.

“When the trial had begun you produced a completely false list of issues about technical data knowing you were guilty of these offences.”

Community order for Keighley man who dared girl, 9, to indecently expose herself

A MAN aged 50 who ‘dared’ a nine-year-old child to expose herself indecently during a game has been ordered to undergo three years of treatment to address his “unhealthy and unnatural interest in little girls”.

Martin Lyness was downing seven litres of strong cider a day when he urged the child to lift up her dress and spread her legs, Bradford Crown Court was told today.

Lyness, of Westburn Avenue, Keighley, pleaded guilty to a single offence of inciting her to engage in sexual activity in July last year.

Prosecutor Michael Smith said Lyness was drunk when he and the girl were playing “a silly game of dare” in a garden. She dared him to put his head in an outside toilet and he dared her to perform the indecent act.

The girl asked him for a different dare and then told her mother what he had suggested.

Mr Smith said it was the Crown’s case that Lyness had shown an “unnatural and unhealthy interest” in the child, staring at her on a previous occasion until she felt uncomfortable.

Lyness told the police he was a heavy drinker and so drunk at the time that he could not remember daring the girl to expose herself.

His barrister, Jayne Beckett, said he had never been in any trouble before.

He had raised four children of his own and reached the age of 50 with an unblemished character.

Lyness had vowed to abstain from alcohol and never to be alone with a child again.

“He has got to his half century without offending at all but he has now fallen from grace,” Mrs Beckett said.

Lyness, an alcoholic, had dramatically curbed his drinking since committing the offence.

“He has made strides to move forwards not backwards,” Mrs Beckett said.

Judge Jonathan Rose sentenced Lyness to a three-year community order with an Alcohol Treatment Requirement and help to address his sexual offending against the child.

He must also do 180 hours of unpaid work and register with the police as a sex offender for five years.

Judge Rose made a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to safeguard young girls from Lyness in the future.

“You are in many ways an exemplary character but burdened with an alcohol addiction,” he told him.

He warned Lyness not to put a foot wrong or he would face a jail sentence of around four years.

Paedophile police officer jailed for indecent images

An Aylesbury Crown Court judge has jailed a police officer for four months for making indecent images of children.

Detective Constable Brian Rouse, 48, was arrested last year after his details emerged during an investigation into online child abuse.

Rouse was based at Bovingdon Prison, Herts, and was suspended from duty when the allegations came to light.

He pleaded guilty to four charges of making indecent images of children at a hearing last month at Aylesbury Crown Court and was sentenced on Wednesday.

The offences occurred between January 2010 and July 2015.

Rouse, from Watford, has also been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for seven years and is the subject of a Sex Offenders Prevention Order for the same period.

Rouse is currently suspended from duty, a dismissal hearing will be held at a later date.

The investigation which caught Rouse involved the National Crime Agency.

Carmarthenshire man jailed for sex attacks on girl, 6, in the 1980s

A KIDWELLY man who persuaded a six year old girl to perform sex acts displayed in his collection of pornographic magazines has been jailed today for three years and nine months.

Christopher Robert Kemp, aged 54, of Water Street, admitted indecently assaulting a child under the age of eight years and indecency with a child by causing her to commit an act of gross indecency in the 1980s.

Robin Rouch, prosecuting, said the girl was aged between five and seven when Kemp assaulted her in the bedroom of his home.

He showed her his magazine collection and asked her to recreate some of the scenes.

Mr Rouch said the offending came to a halt and, at first, nothing was said.

But as his victim grew older she realised that she had been abused and confided in her school friends.

At one stage she confronted Kemp who was overheard to apologise to her.

Mr Rouch said the abuse continued to trouble the victim, now a grown woman, and after she saw Kemp in Kidwelly she decided to make a formal complaint to the police.

Jim Davies, the barrister representing Kemp, said he regretted what he had done and wished to apologise to his victim in open court.

“He came to realise that what he was doing was wrong and stopped it,” he added.

Judge Huw Davies said he could take the view that Kemp had stopped offending because he was afraid of being caught.

He said Kemp had had sinister motives and had seen in a young girl who had no concept of sexual behaviour the chance to recreate sex acts depicted in his magazines.

Kemp was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for the rest of his life and told he would be banned from working with children or vulnerable people.

BT subcontractor caught with over 1,200 indecent images of children

A BT subcontractor was found with over 1,200 indecent images of children after police raided his home.

Officers executed a warrant at Hadrian Livesey’s house on Malham Avenue in Accrington on April 24 last year.

Burnley Crown Court heard how Livesey told officers ‘I might have downloaded that sort of image’ but when later interviewed twice by police refused to say what was on the computers.

Livesey, 44, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images and one count each of possessing extreme pornography and possessing a prohibited image of a child.

He was given a six-month jail sentence, suspended for two years with supervision, ordered to pay £535 costs and was also given a sexual harm prevention order and made subject to police notification requirements, each for seven years.

Lisa Worsley, prosecuting, told the court how the images included 32 considered category A – the most serious – along with 46 category B and 1,181 category C images.

Officers also found another 222 extreme pornographic images and two prohibited child images.

Darren Lee-Smith, defending, said Livesey went into a ‘period of lowness and depression’ following his parents’ deaths.

He told the court: “He was of previous good character and that character is now blemished through no fault of anyone other than the defendant because of his behaviour

“Perhaps the most important piece of mitigation is his early guilty plea with a basis and no attempt to minimise his behaviour.

“He recognises he needs assistance regarding these offences.

“More importantly there’s a recognition within the pre-sentence report as to the destruction of lives these offences can create and the suffering of the children within those images.

“The defendant’s explanation as to how he engaged in these activities was a period of lowness and depression which to an extent has been alleviated.

“It is linked to the unfortunate death of his mother and father.

“He lost contact with his father for a number of years, regained that contact, but unfortunately his father passed away.”

Mr Lee-Smith said Livesey was working as a subcontractor for BT but has since lost his job.

Man jailed for 13 years for ‘repugnant’ rape of girls

myers

A man who was convicted of “repugnant” sex offences against two young girls has been jailed for 13 years.

John Myers, 52, from Glasgow, abused one girl when she was aged five and continued until she was almost 17.

He also targeted another girl when she was aged 11 or 12. Myers was caught after one victim told a friend, which led to a police investigation.

His name will be on the sex offenders’ register for life and Myers will be supervised for three years on release.

Jailing him at the High Court in Edinburgh, judge Lord Pentland told Myers: “The jury convicted you after trial of a series of extremely serious offences.”

The judge told him that the abuse of one of the victims, which began when she was aged five and culminated in rape, was “sustained and calculated”.

Lord Pentland said: “The effect on your victims has been serious and lasting. I note you have evinced no remorse and not the slightest concern for your victims.”

The judge told him: “The sexual abuse of children is repugnant.”

Lord Pentland said a background report prepared on Myers had assessed him “as presenting an imminent risk of future sexual offending against children”.

Myers, formerly from the Tollcross area of Glasgow, was convicted of two charges of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and indecent behaviour committed at addresses in his home city between 2002 and 2014.

He had denied all charges against him.

His trial heard that Myers’ abuse of the five-year-old happened almost every time he was left alone with her.

The victim – now aged 18 – gave evidence during the trial and said the abuse continued for more than 12 years.

Myers tried to rape her after she turned 13 before he finally raped her as she slept, a few days before her 17th birthday.

The teenager revealed that he was caught only after her friend asked her to share her “darkest secret” during a drinking session.

She blurted out that Myers had abusing her for years after which the friend shared the secret with one of her relatives who insisted on taking the victim to report the abuse to police.

An investigation led to a second girl, related to the first victim, being interviewed.

The second girl, also now 18, said Myers had raped her when she was aged just 11 or 12.

Pervert repeatedly had sex with a girl aged 11

brookes

A paedophile who repeatedly had sex with a girl aged 11 as she played truant from school – and who later began grooming her little sister – has been jailed for 13 years.

Michael Brookes, 26, of Lower Cross, Kington, began by texting the older sister, knowing her age, and arranging to meet her at a recreation ground, telling her he was 20, Worcester Crown Court heard.

The girl, who is now aged 14, thought he was 30 but agreed to meet him while she missed school.

Walter Bealby, prosecuting, said that on the second time Brookes took her to his flat, he removed her school uniform and had sex with her.

When the girl’s sister reached the age of 11, Brookes began texting her to ask her out. She at first told him she was born in 1995 but later said on Facebook that she was just 11.

Mr Bealby added that, although she refused to be Brookes’ girlfriend, he incited her to send him indecent images of herself, unaware that her sister had already had sex with him.

After about three weeks the girls’ father found that his younger daughter had shared the images with Brookes. Then her sister “broke down” and revealed what had happened to her.

Later, an ex-colleague of Brookes found on his work computer messages to and from 12 and 13-year-old girls. “He had contact with multiple under-age girls,” said Mr Bealby.

The girls’ father said in a victim impact statement to the court that his older daughter was now “terrified” and everything seemed “to spook her”. The younger girl used to be friendly and outgoing but was now “tearful” and thought it was all her fault.

Recorder Denis Desmond told Brookes – who admitted three charges of raping a girl under 13, one of sexual activity with a child, two of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one of meeting a child after grooming and another of attempted grooming – that he would serve half of his sentence before being considered for parole.

The rest would be served out of prison – but the recorder added an extra year to the time he will spend on licence from jail.

Brookes was also given a sexual harm prevention order and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.

The recorder told him that both victims had feared they would have to come to crown court and be accused of lying until he eventually changed his previous denial of the offences to guilty pleas just a few weeks before a planned trial.

Man had perverted child sex videos on computer

A WALTON man was caught with perverted videos of child sex and also extreme porn, a court heard.

Following information, police raided Anthony Naicker’s home in Newark Street on July 7 last year and seized computer equipment.

The 60-year-old was unwell in hospital at the time but when later interviewed he admitted there were indecent images on some of his compute equipment, said Michael Stephenson, prosecuting.

When material on his computer tower was analysed by forensic experts two child sex videos in the most serious category were found along one in the lower grouping and an extreme pornographic video.

Naicker accepted they were indecent but asked for the return of his computer equipment as it contained adult pornography which it was legitimate to view, added Mr Stephenson.

Desmond Lennon, defending, said that Naicker had no relevant convictions and is unemployed having suffered a heart attack last year.

Judge Denis Watson, QC, imposed a two year community order on Naicker, who had pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to four offences of downloading indecent images.

He also imposed a two year rehabilitation order and an electronically monitored curfew for two months between 9 – 6 am.

Naicker was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his internet use, was imposed for seven years and he was ordered to pay £400 towards the prosecution costs.

The now 37-year-old is due to be sentenced on May 5 at the same court.

At the time of his arrest by officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) on December 7, he was the deputy head teacher at St Benedict’s Catholic Independent Day School in Ealing and has since resigned.

The former Tory councillor who served on the Perivale ward from 2006 to 2010 was charged on December 8, and appeared at Ealing Magistrates Court the following day.

The NCA said he was identified after intelligence was received that an individual had been using video conferencing facilities to share indecent images of children with other paedophiles around the UK.

Man jailed for 13 years for sexual offences against two young girls

A MAN who admitted sexual offences against two young girls he was babysitting – including repeatedly raping one of them – has been jailed for 13 years as part of a sentence that will last a total of 18 years.

Philip Green, 63, of Penyard Gardens, Weston-under-Penyard, who has previously served more than seven years in jail for sex offences against other girls, was told he would serve at least two thirds of the 13 years before being considered for parole.

And Recorder Denis Desmond gave him an extended term of five years to serve out on licence from prison, on top of whatever remains of his jail term when he is ultimately allowed parole.

One of Philip Green’s victims was raped twice a week by him from the age of eight to 11 – and sometimes he would then give her £2.50 or chocolates, said the recorder.

Green admitted four specimen charges of rape against one girl from the age of eight to 13, between 2000 and 2006, and indecently assaulting her between the same dates.

He also admitted sexually assaulting another girl and causing or inciting her to engage in sexual activity between 2007 and 2008, when she was eight or nine.

The court also heard that Green had four previous young victims dating back to 1991.

In 2008 he had been jailed for five years for nine counts of indecent assault and in 2013, he was handed a 30-month sentence for similar offences.

Daniel White, prosecuting, said the latest offences were committed while Green was babysitting and one girl was raped for the first time on a baby changing mat at his flat.

He would sometimes give her £2.50 or chocolates and she “thought it was normal”, said Mr White.

The offending stopped only when Green went to prison, which she described as being “like a saviour”.

She eventually told her mother what had happened in 2013.

In a victim statement to the court the girl said: “He raped me when I was only a child.

“As such I have no confidence or self worth – I’m at rock bottom.”

She added that she had made several suicide attempts and regularly cut herself on her foot.

The other girl said she suffered from depression.

Recorder Desmond said Green had even abused the girl he admitted raping while he was being investigated over the offences against other girls, which led to his previous jail sentence.

The recorder added that there was significant risk he would commit similar offences and gave him a sexual harm prevention order.
