Halkirk man jailed for child abuse images
A HALKIRK man has been jailed for six months in line with a social worker’s belief that there was no other option available to deal with him.
Malcolm Don admitted taking, permitting to be taken or making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children between 2007 and 2009 and a report looking into his probation order earlier revealed the social worker’s findings.
Don (43), of Seaforth Gardens, Halkirk, appeared on indictment at Wick Sheriff Court today (Thurs) for sentence after he admitted breaching his order which related to the offence which happened between July 1, 2007, and January 29, 2009, at an address in Pentland Place, Castletown.
Don was also given a sexual offences prevention order to last seven years.
