Exeter man admits inciting 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity
A 20 year old Exeter man is facing jail after he admitted inciting a 14 year old girl to engage in sexual activity.
Tristan Acres, of St Katherine’s Road, Exeter, admitted causing the schoolgirl victim to expose her breasts and genitalia while on a webcam between February and April last year.
He also admitted a second charge of causing the same child to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity during the same period.
Exeter magistrates court heard that Acres had groomed the girl and he faces a custodial sentence.
Susan Snow, defending, said Acres had rather exceptional personal mitigation. She also said he was a man of good character who had full admissions to the police and pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.
District Judge Stephen Nicholls said his sentencing powers were not great enough and he sent the case to the Crown Court in Exeter for sentence next month.
Acres was bailed and had to sign on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
