Bentilee pervert jailed for voyeurism after installing cameras in bedrooms
VOYEUR Michael Raymond has been jailed after installing cameras in the bedrooms of two young women.
The 52-year-old pervert also set up a camera in the bathroom of the victims’ house and filmed them getting undressed, in the bath, showering and asleep.
Raymond said he intended to upload the footage online to make money but failed to do so before being caught by police.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Raymond filmed the women over 15 months using cameras which fed the footage directly onto his computers.
The victims became suspicious when they spotted a red light on the equipment they believed to be part of an alarm system.
Police were alerted and discovered hundreds of indecent photographs on several computers when they searched Raymond’s home in Tiverton Road, Bentilee.
Prosecutor Heather Chamberlain said the images included shots of one of the girls in the shower, as well as a partial view of the defendant’s face.
She said: “One of the computers had hundreds of views showing the bathroom and bedroom of one of the girls, showing her in a state of undress, bathing, on the toilet and asleep in bed.”
She added: “He was interviewed and said he had got into financial difficulties due to an industrial injury and realised he could make some money by filming girls and showing them on the internet.”
Now he has been given an eight-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to 11 counts of sexual assault, including six voyeurism offences and five charges of making indecent photographs.
Peter McCartney, mitigating, said: “He has expressed his own disgust at his behaviour.”
Judge Paul Glenn handed him an eight-month prison sentence for the voyeurism and two months each for the five offences of making indecent photographs to run concurrently.
He said: “The images included footage of them naked in the bedroom, bathroom and using the toilet.
“In addition, on your computer, indecent images were found of children.
” It’s plain from the search that took place of your computer that you had been looking at sites relating to hidden cameras, as well as pornography. The computer had been set up to share files.”
Ordering the destruction of the images and computers, he added: “You say you didn’t do this for your sexual gratification which is something your probation officer finds difficult to accept and so do I.”
Raymond will have to sign the sex offenders’ register and is banned from activities involving children and young adults.
