Man jailed for sending a video of a child being raped in group chat

A MAN has been jailed for posting a video of a child being raped on a mobile phone messaging chat group.

Emanuel Diniz, aged 32, of Heol Tirbach, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court for one count of distributing an indecent photo of a child. He had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

The court heard police in north Wales were investigating a man’s telephone when they came across the Kik messenger application which can share files.

Officers discovered a chat group discussion about child sexual offences which also shared photos.

They found someone under the username of Diamond Sally had posted a 44 second clip to the group. The video was a category A – the most serious- and showed a young girl being raped.

This username was traced back to Diniz.

The court heard Diniz said he adopted a woman’s identity to enable him to access a gay female group chat for adult pornography.

The court heard on August 5, of this year, Gwent Police officers executed a search warrant at the defendant’s home. Gareth Jones, prosecuting, said the defendant was not at home but later attended Ystrad Mynach Police Station where he told officers his mobile phone was destroyed somewhere near Taunton in Somerset.

Mr Jones said: “It is the prosecution’s view that this wasn’t inadvertent. He did know what he sent.”

Marian Lewis, defending, said Diniz is a married man and has been the in a relationship for 13 years.

She said: “He has been a hard working and conscientious husband and father throughout that time. This offence has come as a shock to everybody.

“He is fully aware he has let everybody down.”

The court heard he has no previous convictions.

Judge Michael Fitton QC sentenced Diniz to 16 months imprisonment and made him the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.

He said: “You have unfortunately for you not felt able in interview with the probation service to be candid about what happened or about what you did. You told the author of the report you didn’t know the nature of what you were sending.

“The prosecution are right in taking issue with that. I regard it as obviously dishonest.”

The judge said the defendant’s guilty plea cannot be ‘watered down’ by what he said to the probation service.

The defendant will also be on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

Man, 23, jailed for for raping child under 13

A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for 14 years for raping a child under 13-years-old.

Blaenau Gwent man Brett Vaughan was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court for three counts of rape of a child under 13-years-old. Vaughan was found guilty by a jury after trial.

The court heard it was a “prolonged” period of abuse of a child which started when the defendant was 16-years-old.

Judge Tom Crowther QC sentenced Vaughan to a total of 15 years; 14 years in custody with a further one year period to be spent on licence in the community.

Judge Crowther said the abuse has had a “significant impact on the victim and continues to do so”.

He said: “She will never leave this behind.”

Judge Crowther ordered that Vaughan would be made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order which prohibits the defendant from living with children or working with children and vulnerable adults.

Judge Crowther said Vaughan will be eligible for release in seven years, a decision that will be made by a parole board panel who will have to be satisfied that the defendant does not pose a danger to the public before choosing whether he can be released on licence.

Pervert admitted possessing indecent images of children

darren

A BRACKNELL man has been jailed for five years for possessing indecent images of children after police found him trying to burn evidence in his microwave.

Darren Rowlings, 41, of Mount Lane in the town, admitted one count of possessing indecent images of children, one count of breaching terms of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order and one count of perverting the court of justice at Reading Crown Court on Friday where he was imprisoned.

The Thames Valley Police Paedophile Online Investigation Team received information that Rowlings had been accessing indecent images of children.

On August 16, officers used a warrant under the Section Four Protection of Children 1978 act to visit Rowlings at home.

Rowlings did not answer the door, and officers were able to hear a fire alarm beeping from within his address.

They carried out a forced entry, and found Rowlings attempting to burn evidence in the microwave.

Rowlings was arrested and charged the same day, and was remanded in custody.

Jail term for man convicted of 1983 kidnap and sexual assault of teenager

green

A 60-year-old man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in Weston-super-Mare 33 years ago has been jailed following an investigation by the Major Crime Review Team (MCRT).

David John Green, from Moseley in Birmingham, was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment at Bristol Crown Court earlier today (4/8) after admitting charges of kidnap, sexual assault and false imprisonment.

He will also be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for a minimum of 10 years.

Green abducted a girl near Marine Lake in Weston-super-Mare on 17 July 1983 and assaulted and threatened her within a storeroom.

Through forensic advancements and a re-investigation of the case, officers with the MCRT were able to obtain a DNA profile from fibre tapings taken from the victim’s clothing at the time, which matched an entry on the National DNA Database.

Green was arrested at his home on Friday 26 February this year and subsequently charged.

In court today, Judge Picton said Green’s offending was “the stuff of nightmares” and the passage of time had done nothing to diminish the impact of the crime on the victim, who would have to live with the “scars of your offending”.

Piano teacher carried on giving lessons to children after sexual assault conviction

alan

Within days of being made subject to a sex offender’s order, a disgraced former verger at the historic St Mary’s Church in Warwick was giving unsupervised piano lessons to children.

That put 81-year-old retired teacher Alan Baker in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed at Warwick Crown Court when he was sentenced for sexually assaulting a teenage boy.

It was also a breach of the 12-month suspended prison sentence, with 100 hours of unpaid work and an order to register as a sex offender for ten years, he had been given.

But Baker, of Buckley Road, Leamington, again narrowly escaped being jailed after admitting the two breaches.

Instead, he was given an additional eight-month prison sentence suspended for two years, with an 8pm to 8am curfew for eight months, and was ordered to do 140 hours of unpaid work.

Prosecutor Ian Windridge said one of the conditions of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed on April 29 was that Baker was not to have unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian in full knowledge of his sexual assault conviction.

Baker was a member of the church at St Mary’s, where he was an assistant verger and the music librarian for the choir, and had been a school music and French teacher until 1993.

After being sentenced in April, when he had said he would stop teaching music to children, he was subject to supervision by Warwickshire Police’s sex offender management team.

And two weeks later officers found he had not stopped giving lessons to children, so they spoke to the parents of a number of youngsters he had been teaching.

Some said they were aware of Baker’s conviction because of reports they had seen, and had cancelled the lessons, while others said Baker had informed them.

But the parents of four children were unaware of the matter, and Baker had visited their homes for lessons, including teaching one ten-year-old boy without any supervision.

Judge Andrew Lockhart QC observed that as well as being in breach of the order, by continuing to teach unsupervised, Baker had been in breach of the bail conditions he was subject to before being sentenced.

Judge Lockhart said: “Most fortunately, and happily, you committed no sexual offences against the children when you were with them, and I am just persuaded to take a wholly exceptional course.”

Pervert Warwick verger escapes jail sentence

AN ASSISTANT verger at the historic St Mary’s Collegiate Church in Warwick fondled a vulnerable teenager he had met away from his church duties.

Eighty-year-old retired teacher Alan Baker pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to two charges of sexually assaulting the teenager, who the court heard was over 16 at the time.

Baker, of Buckley Road, Leamington, was sentenced to 12 months in jail suspended for two years, with an 8pm to 8am curfew for three months, and ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years.

Judge Andrew Lockhart QC also ordered Baker to do 100 hours of unpaid work.

Prosecutor Peter Cooper said Baker had met his victim when the youth was in his mid-teens, and befriended him and allowed him to visit his home.

On occasions he gave the boy alcohol, cigarettes and gifts, and sometimes took him along when he had cleaning duties at St Mary’s Church, where he was an assistant verger.

But twice when the youth visited his home last year, Baker sexually assaulted him.

And Mr Cooper said ton another occasion Baker had touched the teenager over his clothing.

The boy later confided in his behaviour specialist who then contacted his mother.

After Baker had tried to telephone the victim, the boy’s mother rang Baker who admitted to her what he had done and said he was bisexual.

Mr Cooper added: “In a second call she told him she had made an audio recording, which was not true, and that he had ten minutes to give himself up to the police or she would call them.

“He did so, and went to Leamington police station and said he wished to confess to a sexual offence.

Rebecca Wade, defending, said Baker, who ‘concedes his actions were nothing other than abhorrent,’ had not met the youth through the church, and there had been no grooming.

“He has expressed remorse to a number of people. He assures the court in very strong terms he will never behave in this way again.”

Miss Wade said Baker had been a primary and middle school teacher, with particular expertise in music and French, until his retirement, after which ‘he dedicated his life to the church’ as the music librarian, assistant verger and working with the choir.

Sentencing Baker, Judge Lockhart told him: “You are a man of 80 years of age, and you have led an exemplary life until these offences. But you committed two sexual assaults on a troubled young man.

“Matters came to light because his mother became concerned, and it is right to say that in a series of calls she confronted you and you made admissions, and you then did what was a sensible and honest thing in that you went to the police before any formal complaint had been made.

“I have come to the view I am just persuaded that I can suspend your sentence of imprisonment.”

Detective Sergeant Cawail Wong of Warwickshire Police said: “Baker has sexually abused a young person for his own gratification and these offences have had a considerable impact on the victim and his family.

“The bravery he has shown in coming forward to police must be commended and I would like to thank him for the courage he has shown.

“We hope such a result will help to reassure victims we will always investigate any allegations of sexual exploitation thoroughly and as a consequence bring offenders to justice.

“It can be difficult to recognise the warning signs of child sexual exploitation, but if you think something’s not right, please report it to police.

“The law is clear – no child under the age of 18 can ever consent to being abused or exploited.”

Acting head teacher jailed for grooming girl as judge questions how he was ever appointed

acthead

A judge questioned why the acting head of a specialist educational unit was ever appointed to the position as he jailed him for grooming a girl.

Patrick Toogood had targeted a ‘vulnerable’ pupil at the unit where he is understood to have worked for 10 years.

He sent her sexually explicit messages by text.

He had also bought a gift for the teen, which aroused suspicion of a parent, as had the discovery of his personal email address.

He had texted the pupil asking her to pleasure herself, and said that he wanted to have sex with her. He said he would hire a cottage where they could spend time together and she could ‘turn up naked’.

The unit, Step Ahead Educational Centre in Swansea, was described in court as a specialist educational centre ‘for pupils who struggle with mainstream education due to learning or mental health issues’.

The 57-year-old teacher, of Killan Road in Dunvant, Swansea, had pleaded guilty last month to a charge of being an adult abusing a position of trust by inciting sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 17.

He appeared at Swansea Crown Court for sentencing.

The court was told the police investigations had identified ‘other episodes in a school setting’.

Officers went to Toogood’s home after his victim had contacted Childline, who alerted the police.

Toogood handed over his mobile phone to police to examine, where messages were discovered, but answered ‘no comment’ to questions in police interview.

Prosecuting, Tom Scapens said Toogood had left a voicemail message with his victim in which he said he had sexual dreams of her, and that ‘he relieved himself by thinking of her’.

He added: “Her mother is deeply disappointed by what has happened, and could not express enough anger towards the defendant”.

Sentencing, Judge Paul Thomas QC said the police report into the investigation ‘had identified other episodes in the school environment’, and described him as ‘selfishly and arrogantly’ pursuing his victim for his sexual kicks.

And he also criticised a letter from his stepdaughter, in which she had described their own family as ‘victims’ of the fall-out from his prosecution.

He added: “You know from 32 years of teaching experience that teenage girls could look up to you and potentially become infatuated with a male authority figure, yet you cynically abused your position of trust to groom for sexual purposes.

“You knew the impact on her. I have no doubt if matters had not been discovered you would have gone further.

“The character references speak of the impact on your wife, and one letter from your stepdaughter makes the astonishing claim that she and the family have not been considered in this because they are the victim.

“You have betrayed your wife and to seek clemency now on that is obviously difficult for you

“I question how you reached the position you did with matters raised in the past about appropriate behaviour towards young girls in your care.”

Toogood was jailed for 32 weeks, of which he will serve half, and told he would have to sign the sex offenders register for the next 10 years.

He must not stay overnight in the home of anyone under the age of 18 without their parent or guarding having knowledge of his conviction, or work with children under the age of 18.

Former infant school teacher jailed for horrendous sex attacks over 30 years

tulloch

An ex-teacher has been jailed for 12 years after being found guilty of historic sex attacks against children spanning 30 years.

Trevor Tulloch, of Ashfield Avenue in Moseley, indecently assaulted three girls and a boy – all of infant school age – between the late 1970s and 2007.

The 58-year-old, described as a “violent domestic bully”, inappropriately touched and kissed the children at his previous Highgate home.

The perverted former teacher at Chandos Primary School in Digbeth was jailed at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday for a total of 15 indecent assaults, two sexual assaults, plus individual counts of child cruelty, child indecency and assault.

He is also required to sign the sex offenders register for life.

The trial heard how youngsters were discretely assaulted during ‘play fights’ while others recalled to detectives how they sometimes awoke from sleepovers at Tulloch’s home to find him touching them under the covers.

West Midlands Police launched and investigation in June last year after a woman contacted the force to report her daughter had disclosed being abused by Tulloch in 2007 when she was aged eight.

Other victims included a girl who was repeatedly abused between 1979 and 1981 when she was about 10, and a boy subjected to bouts of child cruelty and indecent assaults in the late 80s when he was aged between eight and 10.

One victim also described how she was abused when she was a pupil at Chandos Primary School where he taught computer lessons in the 1990s.

Tulloch denied all the accusations against but was found guilty by a jury on 20 of the 22 counts against him.

Dad blackmailed and sexually abused girl after discovering her naked Snapchat pics

bon

A dad-of-two blackmailed a schoolgirl to fulfil his twisted sexual fantasies after discovering her naked Snapchat pictures.

Craig Boniface found intimate photographs on a teenage girl’s phone, made copies and used them to manipulate and molest her.

Unrepentant Boniface sighed loudly in the dock as the judge described how he was convicted “on the clearest possible evidence”.

Liverpool Crown Court heard he was a house husband, whose wife often travelled the country working for a hotel chain.

While she was away, Boniface planned “Frosty nights” – named after the Frosty Jack’s cider he gave his victim before abusing her.

The 45-year-old, of Bickerton Avenue, Bebington, Wirral , denied any wrongdoing, but was found guilty after a trial.

Jailing him for five years, Judge Andrew Menary, QC, said: “It’s clear you developed an unhealthy interest in her, to the point of becoming infatuated with her.

“You nurtured an alternative fantasy life where she became the object of your sexually driven obsession.

“You used those photographs to essentially blackmail her to do things for you, or to behave in a way designed to feed your obsession.”

Boniface bought the girl revealing clothes to wear and demanded she “parade” them for him, then got her drunk and groped her.

Judge Menary said: “You called these nights your Frosty nights, after the cider you were drinking. These were your fantasy nights.”

He booked hotel rooms for them after lying to his wife about where he was going and made his victim dress and wear make-up to appear older.

Judge Menary said Boniface did this so he could take his victim to bars to buy alcohol and then touched her sexually.

He said: “More could have happened. She couldn’t say however, because she was so intoxicated.”

Sarah Holt, prosecuting, said the victim now suffers from nightmare and flashbacks.

The girl said: “I feel dirty and sick and sometimes feel it was all my fault for letting him do what he did to me. I find it hard to trust anyone.”

The victim’s mum said it was “heartbreaking” to see the impact of Boniface’s abuse and that her daughter’s GCSE results were “severely affected”.

She said: “I would like to see him punished for what he has done. I hope he realises all the pain and suffering he has caused.”

Boniface was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of making indecent images of children.

Unrepentant Boniface sighed loudly in the dock as the judge described how he was convicted “on the clearest possible evidence”.

He said: “Nobody could blame your family for wanting to believe in you.

“But sadly anybody who reads the dozens of texts you exchanged with her would not be left in any doubt at all about the true nature of the relationship you desired with her.”

He told Boniface to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for life and handed him an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Con man jailed for pretending to be Met Police officer & child abuse images

stu

A con man who spent years pretending to his friends and family that he was a Metropolitan Police Officer has been jailed.

Stuart Howatson, 31, from Bewdley in Worcestershire, even convinced his wife that he was a serving officer, claiming to have filled various roles in royal protection, firearms and dog handling.

To account for the long commute to his workplace, he also claimed to be a senior officer on sabbatical.

On the couple’s wedding day in 2006, he had a place laid for former Met Chief Constable Sir John Stevens, explaining his non-attendance away in his speech as being down to security issues.

After honeymooning at a Spanish villa owned by friends, he offered to buy the property for £720,000 and convinced them that a inheritance windfall meant he had the funds to buy without a mortgage.

He stalled the supposed purchase with a series of bounced cheques and excuses for two years, during which time he enjoyed several free stays at the £1200-a-week property.

As proof that his finances were sound, he produced false bank statements showing monthly deposits from ‘Met Police’ and ‘MPA’.

In 2007, he gave an educational talk, in uniform, at a nursery school where a family friend worked, talking about police work to the children and showing them examples of police batons.

Howatson was arrested at his home in Millside Court, Bewdley, in October 2008 after friends became suspicious and tipped off the Met’s Anti-Corruption Command.

A search of his home uncovered a substantial amount of uniform, which he later claimed to have bought on eBay.

Police also found a number indecent images of children on Howatson’s computers, for which he was further arrested.

Howatson was sentenced to 20 months in prison. He pleaded guilty over several hearings at Worcester Crown Court to possession of articles of police uniform; possession of an offensive weapon; false accounting; fraud by false representation and possession of and making indecent images of children.

In sentencing, the judge described him as “a common trickster and a con man”.

‘Child abuser put our family through hell’

ian

A PAEDOPHILE who groomed a young girl into believing she was in a consensual relationship has been jailed for eight years.

Ian Barrington, 42, was convicted at Burnley Crown Court of five counts of engaging in sexual activity.

Prosecutors said the abuse started earlier this year when the girl was just 13 and carried on for months.

The offences took place in Colne earlier this year, the court heard.

After he was jailed the victim’s mum told of her horror at finding out her daughter was being sexually abused.

She said: “He had been grooming my daughter since the start of the year. The abuse started when she was just 13.

“He had got her eating out of the palm of his hand.

“He made her feel like she was in a relationship with him and that she was really special. He took advantage of a very vulnerable girl.

“He has left my daughter completely broken. She has gone from being a very confident young woman who was doing really well academically to now not wanting to go to school or even leave the house.

“At the moment she doesn’t want to take part in life. It will take us years to get her back to where she was but we will get there.”

Barrington, of Highfield Avenue, Foulridge, was cleared of two other counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child and one of causing a female child to engage in sexual activity.

He was given eight years in prison for each of the five counts he was found guilty of, to be served concurrently, and ordered to sign the Sexual Offenders’ Register indefinitely.

A judge also ordered a sexual harm prevention order to be made at a later date.

The victim’s mum is now urging other parents to watch out for signs of grooming and report anything suspicious to the authorities to prevent other families from ‘having to go through the same hell’.

She said: “No sentence given by the judge could ever make up for what he has done.

“I just wanted people to know what kind of man he is and what he has done. I don’t want him to do this to anyone else.

“I had started to suspect something was going on because she had stopped eating.

“But she had lots of exams at the time and I just thought she was putting herself under a lot of pressure to do well.

“It was only when I found text messages on her phone where he was calling her ‘fit’ and ‘sexy’ that she told me what was going on.

“I would say to other parents if something is telling you there is something wrong then don’t let it drop.

“Even if it means reporting it to the police and it turns out that everything is okay, it is better being safe than sorry.”

Upskirt pervert caught by woman in newsagents spared prison

allan

A pervert caught by a woman while trying to take pictures up her skirt in a newsagents was spared prison.

Allan Turner, 54, was previously jailed for stalking a woman in a supermarket and using his mobile phone to take similar photos.

The former bakery salesman was locked up for 12 months in 2008 and handed a 10-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

It banned Turner, who already had convictions for indecently assaulting a child and exposing himself, from having camera phones.

At the time a probation officer said they believed the paedophile was only pretending to comply with a sex offenders treatment programme.

Liverpool Crown Court today heard Turner had yet again targeted a female shopper, but he was offered the same chance to change his ways.

Derek Jones, prosecuting, said he deliberately followed a 25-year-old into a shop in Walton at around 6pm on May 12 this year.

She was at the counter when she heard a noise behind her, which was Turner dropping a bag of crisps as a ruse.

Turner, of Spellow Lane, Walton , bent down to pick them up and held his phone between her legs pointing upwards to take a photo.

Mr Jones said: “She felt the phone cold on her legs, turned around, challenged him and said ‘what are you doing?’

“The defendant seemed to brazen it out, said he hadn’t done anything and tried to leave the shop.”

The brave victim restrained the pervert and chased him when he broke free, then claimed she had assaulted him.

Mr Jones said: “She felt violated by this incident. She has felt uncomfortable wearing skirts since.”

Turner returned to the shop and gave his personal details, leading to his arrest by police, who discovered two mobiles and a disposable camera at his home.

The pervert, who broke down in tears, admitted outraging public decency and two counts of breaching his court order.

Michael Bagley, defending, said Turner was a child sex abuse survivor, who was molested at the age of six.

He said: “There tends to be a correlation between those who suffer a degree of abuse when they are young and offending in later life.

“He knows he has a problem and he, through me, apologises to his victim.”

Mr Bagley said Turner was a “childish” man isolated from his family because of his “extremely anti-social behaviour”.

Turner sobbed as his barrister argued sending him to prison again would not be in the public interest.

Mr Bagley said his client needed support to address his problems, adding: “He wants to take that opportunity. He despises himself.”

Judge Robert Trevor-Jones said Turner had a fetish for female underwear and a “long-standing, deep-rooted problem”.

He said the victim’s personal statement revealed how distressed she was by the crime.

The judge said: “This has a real impact on people. It is a real intrusion.”

Judge Trevor-Jones handed Turner 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, which he said would be “hanging over his head”.

He ordered him to attend a sex offenders programme and a rehabilitation activity requirement up to 20 days.

Turner was given a new ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a five-year restraining order.

Pervert jailed for sexually abusing schoolgirl

Pervert Adam Day has been jailed after he sexually abused a schoolgirl.

The 31-year-old kissed his victim, stroked her and touched her private parts.

Now Day has been jailed for five years at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

The defendant, of Rowley Avenue, Chesterton, denied two offences of sexual assault of a child under 13. But he was convicted by a jury after a trial on September 2.

Adam Watkins, mitigating, said the defendant, who has no previous convictions, continues to deny the offences. Mr Watkins said: “His conduct was unsophisticated. It lacked planning or cunning.

“There can be no sympathy for this offending but perhaps for this offender who is a very hard working but very naive young man. He has had two very brief relationships. He does not exhibit any predatory tendencies. He is of previous good character. This offending was isolated.”

Recorder Andrew Easteal placed Day on the sex offenders’ register for life and made him the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order until further order.

Recorder Easteal told Day: “You were convicted by a jury after trial of two allegations of sexually assaulting a girl. You took an opportunity to abuse her at a very intimate level.

“The behaviour affected her confidence and her relationships. It is impossible to know the impact it will continue to have upon her as she gets older.

“You continue to maintain you are not guilty. I can only hope in time you do understand why these must be treated as seriously as they are. There are two counts, this was not a one-off.

“I accept the submission that you were not predatory by any nature. You are not to be regarded that way. But it does not make your behaviour any less serious.”

Northern Ireland doctor with almost 3,000 child sex abuse images spared jail

p

A County Antrim anaesthetist has been sentenced to a nine-month suspended jail term for making indecent images of children as young as five.

The judge said Piotr Dziurdzik did not require an immediate custodial sentence because he was “not dangerous”.

Dziurdzik of Meetinghouse Street in Ballymoney, had pleaded guilty to a number of charges of making indecent photographs of children.

The 33 charges include 27 of making indecent photographs of children.

He worked at Causeway Hospital in Coleraine when the offences were committed between 2012 and 2015.

Other charges included three of possession of prohibited images of a child and three of possession of extreme pornographic images.

A prosecution barrister told the court that when confronted by police Dziurdzik readily admitted: “Yes, true”, and also explained: “It happened on occasion I was watching adult sites, there was links to sites we’re talking about. Its not my area of interest.”

The barrister said that when Dziurdzik was later interviewed by police he described what he did as “a paradox … knowing something is forbidden” and likened it to “Adam and Eve … the forbidden apple”.

The vast majority of the images were of girls, although there were a number showing small boys, and the age range of the children was mainly between eight and 12, although some were as young as five or six.

Sentencing Dziurdzik at Antrim court, the judge said: “This finely balanced decision is based on your genuine remorse and the significant steps that have been taken to address your offending.

“Reports submitted to the court suggest you are not a dangerous offender and have been presented at low risk of reoffending.”

Car valeter sent lewd pictures to nine-year-olds

scott

A perverted car valeter who admitted stealing childrens knickers and other clothing from customer’s cars during a probe into offences against children has been jailed for two years.

Scott Johnson, 34, who worked at the Pristine car wash on Leyland Road, Penwortham, near Preston, sent lewd pictures of himself to two nine-year-old girls on Instagram, after asking one of them to send him a naked picture.

Preston Crown Court He was arrested after the sensible youngsters alerted their parents.

During a raid at the home he shares with his mother on Sycamore Drive, Penwortham, officers found childrens’ and adults’ underwear he had stolen from customers, as well as a ladies’ T shirt, a fingerless glove, and socks.

Judge Heather Lloyd, sentencing him at Preston Crown Court, said: ” By your own admission you’ve been doing this for years.

What you have also done is contact children for sexual gratification. “This behaviour is clearly ingrained in you so much so you stole children and adults clothing from cars you were valeting, you have therefore gone further than the average man who hides behind a computer screen. ” You have moved on to the next step.

You have begun to behave abusively yourself. “It has to be of concern in the moving images I’ve seen are those of babies. One little one was holding a bottle of milk. “Your offending is deep seated.

My concern is you will cross the line from seeking images to seeking out children and that is very troubling indeed.”

The court heard Johnson followed celebrities popular with children on Instagram to get access to young follower’s profiles.

His first victim, aged nine, received a photograph of a cup that said “what’s your password”?

Prosecuting, Paul Cummings QC said: ” She asked him why and he said he liked to look at people’s profiles. “She refused to give him a password but them he then offered to ‘blag’ her by saying he would provide her with passwords to the account for Britain’s Got Talent contestants “Bars and Melody”. “

He also texted her and said ‘I like your attitude’.” Johnson repeated his request saying “Go on show me”, told the youngster she sounded “fit”, and sent a naked picture.

Mr Cummings added: “She asked him why he had done that.

He said: “I didn’t mean to send it.” “She said he shouldn’t have done it and went to tell her parents what had happened.”

In January 2015 another nine-year-old girl received a photograph of him exposing himself from an account called ‘Free Willy’, and a text message was sent to her saying: “I only do it to fit girls”.

He was arrested in November 2015 at the car wash and his home was raided.

Electronic devices were seized and printed images of child abuse were found in his room.

In a police interview Johnson admitted he usually “looked for girls aged 12 to 13” and said he wouldn’t have contacted the girls if he knew they were nine.

He claimed he had taken the clothing from motor cars during the course of his employment.

Johnson admits possessing indecent images of children including 12 of category A – the most serious in law, inciting a girl under 13 into sexual activity, theft, and making indecent photographs.

Defending, Richard Archer revealed Johnson had tried to kill himself before his last court appearance
