Middle-aged housewife and dogging enthusiast caught with extreme beastiality images

2

A housewife who regularly went dogging has been caught with clips of women having sex with animals after taking her phone to get repaired, a court heard.

Dawn Love was found guilty of possessing extreme pornography after shocked staff at an O2 store found images of people having sex with horses on her faulty Blackberry and reported her to police.

During a search of her home and a camper van, officers also found a DVD showing women having sex with dogs.

A jury took just half an hour to find the 55-year-old, was born a man, guilty but cleared her of the second count relating to the DVD.

Love, who told the court she has regularly been going dogging for 30 years, stared straight ahead and showed no emotion as the verdicts were delivered.

During the one-day trial, the court heard she would regularly swap pornographic DVDs with various people including lorry drivers in car parks while dogging, however, she claimed she rarely watched them and often did not know what was on them.

She told the jury at Guildford Crown Court: ‘I went dogging all over the place. I had casual sex in public places.’

1

Prosecuting, Kate Mallison said: ‘The counts relate to a time on July 26 2013, when the defendent had possesion of items which are illegal.

‘She took her Blackberry mobile phone into an O2 store in Camberley to get it fixed. Something was seen on the phone which caused concern to staff and led to the phone being looked at with greater care.’

Love, who was dressed in a tee-shirt, trousers and a zip-up jumper, listened to proceedings at Guildford Crown Court through a hearing loop.

Ms Mallison told the jury of six men and six women: ‘What was found on the phone were two videos of images of someone having sexual intercourse or oral sex with an animal, namely a horse, which is banned by law.

‘As a result of her arrest, her property and car were searched and in her car a DVD was found containing a number of images showing someone having sexual intercourse or oral sex with a dog.

‘The issue is whether in fact Dawn Love was in possession of these articles,’ said the prosecutor.

The jury at Guildford Crown Court heard that Love worked in a West End club for gay and transsexual people, which often hosted television stars and police officers, two days a week and would often leave her phone on the reception counter or behind the bar.

Love said she had been dogging since she was around 25 and never usually saw the same person twice.

She told the court she kept her phone in a holder on the dashboard of her Nissan camper van, where she invited people in for sex.

Love, who denied two counts of possessing extreme pornographic images, said she had not had her phone stolen or tampered with as far as she was aware.

When asked if she would leave the phone unattended, she replied: ‘All the time, when I was strapped up in the back, on the bed.’

The disabled post-op transexual, who went dogging around three to four times a week at the time the images were found in 2013, said she swapped DVDs with people ‘all the time’.

She said: ‘I would swap them with doggers and lorry drivers in car parks. They were straight sex DVDs mostly.’

When asked about whether she would always watch the DVDs, she replied: ‘No. One could stay in the machine for months’

The court heard Love took her phone into the 02 store in Camberley, Surrey on July 26, 2013 after her emails stopped working.

Horrified staff found two video clips called ‘Sally Horse’ and ‘Hannah’ showing video clips of women having sex with horses. Both clips featured a logo reading ‘zoosection.com’.

Prosecuting, Kate Mallison said: ‘You say you helped at the club on Thursdays and Sundays. I ask that because these clips you had on your phone were accessed on a Tuesday. That would indicate they were not put there by people who went to the club.’

When asked why she had not tried to find out who had given her the DVDs, she replied: ‘I do not know the people who get into my van and tie me up and have sex with me. I wouldn’t know where to start.

‘Nine times out of ten I am off my head on drugs.’

Miss Mallison said: ‘Is it just coincidence that the two pictures are of the same nature as the DVD?’

Jobless Love replied: ‘I have all sorts of DVDs, several of black men who are well endowed. I never ask people’s names, I just get tied up, have a good time and never see them again.’

Judge Christopher Critchlow told the jury of six men and six women: ‘The only issue for you to decide is whether or not you are sure the defendant had the images on her phone and the DVD in her possession.’

Love, from Sunbury, Surrey, was found guilty of possessing extreme pornographic images on her phone but the jury did not find her guilty of possessing the footage on the DVD.

She was released on unconditional bail to return to the same court on April 17 for sentencing.

Married children’s doctor jailed after he was unmasked as a predatory paedophile

raza

A married children’s doctor has been jailed for seven years after being unmasked as a predatory paedophile with an ‘intense’ sexual obsession with young boys.

Paediatric registrar Raza Laskar, who has worked as a locum at Stepping Hill, MRI,North Manchester General and the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan, coaxed troubled boys into performing for sex acts after searching the web for an underage ‘sex slave’.

The 32-year-old lured a 15-year-old boy to a hotel for sex and secretly filmed him after grooming him online for months, even helping him with his science homework and showing him his wedding video, Manchester Crown Court heard.

In total a dozen vulnerable victims – as young as 12 – were persuaded to perform sex acts on webcam and covertly recorded by married Laskar, of Ormond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, who claims he was suffering from stress and depression.

There is no suggestion he abused any patients, but the court heard the depraved doctor boasted of his profession online to youngsters in order to gain their trust.

He even appeared in his medic’s scrubs in indecent images he swapped.

The victims – from the UK, US and Australia- were lured from social networking sites after Laskar posted vile messages stating he was looking for a sex slave.

“Looking for lads who like being told what to do or who want to try out as my slave – the younger the better. (no lower age limits)”, Laskar posted in one message.

A string of youngsters responded to the postings between 2013 and 2014, the court heard, with one boy, just 13, telling him ‘I can be your slave’.

Laskar told the boy he had ‘six regular slaves’, prosecutor Neil Fryman told court, and offered to ‘give him a medical’.

In just three months, another youngster, aged 13, swapped over 3500 WhatsApp messages with him.

The court heard the boys subjected themselves to a string of ‘indignities’ to please twisted Laskar, with one boy seen performing a sex act with the word’s ‘Raz’s Slave’ scrawled on his body.

That boy, 13, was provided with indecent images of ‘younger children’ as ‘currency’ by Laskar, Mr Fryman said.

Apart from the images he collected of the victim, Laskar had a vast collection of nearly 60,000 extreme pornographic and child sex abuse images he had downloaded.

After downloading a file sharing programme which made his content available to others – he says by mistake – he attracted the attention of the National Crime Agency, leading to a raid on his home in May 2014.

By that time he was glad to be caught, his lawyer said, because his behaviour was spiralling out of control. He admitted 31 sex offences including voyeurism, sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, making indecent images, distributing indecent images, possessing indecent images, and inciting child pornography.

Suzanne Goddard QC, defending, said: “Clearly these offences have had a catastrophic effect on this defendant’s career, which has now come to an end. He will never work as a doctor again. He has been suspended by the General Medical Council, asked to be taken off the register, and will undoubtedly be struck off. It’s clear that he felt that working as a doctor was the only thing he did of any use – not being able to go back to that he sees as a lifelong punishment, quite regardless of the inevitable long custodial sentence.

“His offending has had a devastating effect on his family. He is deeply ashamed and disgusted by what he has done and feels deeply sorry for the teenagers he has involved in this offence.”

Miss Goddard went on to say the teenagers were ‘willing’, that Laskar had applied no pressure, but accepted that the teenagers being ‘sexually curious’ made them vulnerable.

Sentencing, Mr Justice Peter Openshaw told him: “Many were unsure about their sexuality and some were obviously troubled – even if they were aware in the abstract of the dangers posed by communicating with strangers on the internet, none, it seems, realised that applied to them.

“Each, it seems to me, was in the circumstances acutely vulnerable and the defendant exploited them.

“Many of these boys spent long hours alone in their rooms on the internet, the defendant gained their trust by posing as someone prepared to listen to them.”

Shamefaced Laskar, who hung his head throughout the hearing as his family listened from the public gallery, must serve an extended licence period for public protection, which places him at risk of being recalled to prison for years after his release

Teenager raped by grooming gang predator vows: ‘Now I want to help other girls escape abusers’

sultan

The victim of an Asian grooming gang predator saw him convicted of raping her and then bravely vowed: “I now want to help other girls escape their abusers.’’

Mohammed Ali Sultan, 28, was convicted of two counts of rape and one of attempted rape of the former A Level student, who bravely went on to rebuild her life to become a Birmingham nurse.

What the jury did not know was that the monster had previously been jailed for being part of an Asian gang that had sexually exploited vulnerable youngsters in the Telford area of Shropshire.

One victim of married Sultan was just 13-years-old.

Sickeningly the unemployed factory worker had first abused Paula – not her real name – two days after she had been brutally raped by his cousin, Shahmeel Khan. She later bravely gave evidence against Khan, 28 and from Victoria Avenue, Wellington, to see him jailed for 10 years.

khan

Sultan, also from Victoria Avenue, is now facing a lengthy jail sentence after the determined victim took the witness stand at Wolverhampton Crown Court to help convict him of the two rapes and one attempted rape. He was cleared of one rape charge.

Paula, now aged 26, spoke to the Mail about her harrowing ordeal to shine a light on the long-hidden problem of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and to offer hope to other young girls in similar terrifying situations.

“Predators can read a person, they get very good at it,’’ she said.

“Because of everything that has happened to me I can tell who is a predator, I can tell when someone is trying to chat someone up in an inappropriate way. But what experience does a 12,13,14-year-old girl have?

“What chance do they have up against a man who might have 15 years’ experience of raping and tricking and grooming girls? How on earth can a young girl be expected to get out of that situation?

“These men can see who is vulnerable.’’

Softly-spoken Paula came from a middle-class background and had been studying for her A Levels. She moved into her own flat in the Telford area in May 2007 at the age of 18.

A friend and neighbour was being bullied by Sultan into letting him use his flat for sex session with girls at the time. Before long, Paula was being targeted by Sultan and his convict cousin.

She recalled: “Sultan kept calling me when my friend wasn’t with me and trying to talk to me. I was having none of it at the time.

“He started knocking on my door, at first asking for my friend. If my friend wasn’t in, I’d say he wasn’t. He would ask if he could come in and I’d say, ‘No, you can’t. He isn’t here’.

“He started saying things like, ‘Who is in there?’. I’d say, ’No one’. It was just a trick to find out if I was on my own.

“Around the same time his cousin Shahmeel Khan got out of prison. Two weeks later, on June 17 in 2007, Shahmeel broke into my flat and raped me.’’

Convicted robber Khan returned to rape his terrified victim twice more.

It was during this terrifying period that Sultan also began abusing the traumatised teenager.

Paula said: “Two days after Shahmeel raped me, Sultan came to my flat with one of his friends and made me perform a sex act on him and his friend. That’s one of the counts of rape he was convicted of.

“I reported his friend but failed to correctly pick him out in an ID parade. I only knew his first name and only saw him that once and never saw him again.

“When I gave evidence in court I told them that when Sultan first started coming round he would be very polite. When I’d say no, he’d say, ‘Why not? Are we not friends?’ I couldn’t say no because I knew that as soon as I said we were not friends, he’d get aggressive with me and push his way in.

“When Sultan and his friends first used to go on about me performing sex acts I used to think it was them just joking. But after Shahmeel raped me I was very, very scared. And I realised that Sultan was not joking.

“I think I just gave up after Shahmeel raped me. When Sultan came round two days after the rape I was still in shock, still traumatised. I had no fight left in me.

“He used to say he would make my life hell and said I didn’t want to play games with him. He would say he would kick my door in and when I said ‘you won’t because of the locks’, he said ‘I will kick your head in then’.”

Worn down by the attacks from the depraved cousins, she fell into a cycle of abuse involving other Asian men. The details are too harrowing to recount, but she was also subject to violence including stones being thrown at her face and being beaten.

Eventually she somehow summoned the courage to break free and went to the police, first about Khan who was jailed for 10 years in December 2011. He will not be eligible for parole until 2020 because of other sentences.

When Paula reported Mohammed Ali Sultan to police she discovered detectives were just concluding Operation Chalice, an investigation into an Asian child sexual exploitation gang. The operation saw him jailed for seven years in November 2012 after admitting sexually abusing two underage girls, including one aged just 13.

Paula said: “I went to the police about Sultan in June 2010. I got included in Operation Chalice at the end, not in the court case, but as a victim, because I went to the police once the case had started.

“I was training at university at the time and had no idea the case was going on. It was a coincidence I went to the police while they were in the middle of investigating Operation Chalice.

“Partly because of that, they didn’t arrest Sultan for what he did to me until after Operation Chalice had finished. They had to produce him from prison, arrest him and get his statement.’’

Incredibly, despite her unimaginable ordeal, Paula has managed to rebuild her life and completed a nursing degree before working for a health trust in Birmingham. She has now moved to another part of the country to be near her supportive family.

This remarkable young woman now wants to offer practical help to other girls being groomed and abused by CSE gangs. Paula is also determined to give advice to police and social workers who can often fail to listen to victims, forcing them back into the clutches of their abusers,

“I went to the police initially after Shahmeel raped me, but I told them I was too scared to have him arrested,’’ she said.

“Instead of encouraging me and making me feel better and giving me some options, they just said if I didn’t want him arrested then they’d have to say it was consensual.

“I don’t feel as if anyone listened to me, nobody cared, so how was I supposed to think about what was happening to me?

“In the privacy of my own flat I was so scared and didn’t know what to do because everybody thought it was my own fault.

“I’d be at home crying, saying to myself that I had to come up with a plan to stop it happening the next time. I’d listen to my music loud on headphones so I couldn’t hear the door banging.

“Now, I’d really like to give advice to young girls in this position. I want to help them.’’

Paula’s Advice On How Girls Can Protect Themselves:

1. “Try and memorise street names, door numbers, car registrations and things like that, so you can tell someone you trust where you are in case things go wrong. Always have taxi numbers available and secret money.”

2. “Always remember that you can run away. Some of my biggest regrets are when one abuser was driving me around that I just didn’t get out of the car and run off. You can run away, even though they may have manipulated you into feeling that you can’t.”

3. “If you want to say no, and they are pushing you into it, just keep saying no. Sometimes the hell you put up with for not putting out is more traumatising that having the sex. I can sit at home and remember the trauma that I went through not to have sex and I can feel proud of myself for those times.”

4. “Never give up on your parents. They might shout or get angry or not understand but that’s because they really care about you. And they are the only thing that’s always there, boyfriends come and go but your parents will love you forever. Talk to them, try to help each other. Your family are your team, they’re on your side.”

Operation Chalice:

Mohammed Ali Sultan was among seven Asian men jailed after a three-year investigation into a child exploitation ring in Telford.

Youth workers first raised the alarm when teenage girls in Wellington started telling them the same stories about a network of Muslim men abusing them.

They were finally convicted in cases stretching over two years after judges heard heartbreaking evidence from four girls, who were aged 13 to 16 when abused between 2007 and 2009.

Cardiff council worker admits possessing thousands of child sex abuse images

A former Cardiff council worker has admitting possession of more than 2,000 images of child sex abuse.

Michael Wayne Davies, 52, pleaded guilty to three charges of being in possession of thousands of still and movie images of children, many showing victims as young as five being forced into sex with adults.

The images were discovered after police raided his home on George Street in Llantrisant following a tip off from Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP).

Davies also pleaded guilty to having seven pictures of sexual images involving animals.

Prosecutor John Warren told Cardiff Crown Court: “They were found when police went to the home he shared with his partner and four-year-old child on June 5 last year among a total of 2,041 static and movie images.

“He declined to comment during questioning but did provide his password for access to his computer.”

David Elias, defending, described Davies as being of “exemplary” character and who had already sought help.

“There is here a sufficient prospect of rehabilitation because of his background and what he has done already in terms of therapy,”, he told the court.

“It would be best not just for him but for the public”.

Judge Morgan told Davies, who is currently living at Clos Enfys, Caerphilly: “These are not victimless offences.

“Somewhere children are being subjected to the most appalling abuse to produce images for the sexual gratification of people all over the world.

“But that said, you are 52 and of hitherto unblemished character.

“Your offending has come from some weird obsession on your part but to your credit you have not distributed the images to others.”

Judge David Wynn Morgan told Davies that it was vital he went on a three-year therapy course to cure his “weird obsessions”.

But he said any prison sentence he could pass would not be long enough for that work to be done.

Imposing a three year community and treatment order, he said anyone who believed that was the soft option, would be wrong.

Judge Morgan told him: “It is extremely unpleasant, particularly as everybody now knows what has happened and if you fail to comply you will be jailed.”

He added: “There are a large number of issues raised both for you personally and in terms of your employment, as far as these matters are concerned, which are going to take a long time to resolve.”

Davies will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.

Speaking after the hearing, a spokesman for Cardiff council said Davies no longer works for the authority but was unable to provide any more information.

Exeter coach driver denies abusing girl on Eurodisney trip but admits to other sex offences

A coach driver has denied sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl on a trip to Eurodisney.

Robert Newsham, 78, allegedly had a fascination for young girls and has admitted offences against another 11-year-old dating from the same era 20 years ago, Exeter Crown Court was told.

Newsham, of Attwill Almshouses, Exeter, denied two counts of indecently assaulting the girl in the 1990s. He says the incidents never happened.

Mr Richard Crabb, prosecuting, said Newsham was working as a long distance coach driver in 1998 and assaulted the 11-year-old at a hotel in France.

He said there was another aspect to the case and told the jury he has already admitted sexual assaults on another girl at around the same time.

He said: “He has admitted indencently assaulting the other girl and raping her when she was aged between 12 and 15. We say he has a sexual interest in young girls.

“He also pleaded guilty to other offences a long time ago in 1964 when he would have been 28. He admitted four offences of having intercourse with a girl under 16.

“Also, when he was arrested, his laptop was examined by the police and 256 indecent images of female children were found. He has admitted those other matters but we say he is denial about these allegations.”

Newsham told police the event did not happen and he had little memory of the circumstances surrounding the allegations.

Man pleads guilty to possessing stash of child abuse images and animal porn

A MAN has admitted possessing more than 2,000 images of child abuse images along with dozens of photographs of people carrying out sex acts on animals.

Andrew Hocking appeared at Lewes Crown Court last Friday to enter pleas to six charges of having indecent photos of children and a further count of being in possession of material depicting sexual acts between humans and animals.

The 57-year-old stood in the dock wearing a grey suit and had his head bowed as he spoke to give a plea to each charge.

Hocking pleaded guilty to all the charges.

Sussex Police’s paedophile online investigation team (POLIT) carried out an “intelligence-led” probe into Hocking.

Officers discovered he was in possession of 2,115 indecent and extreme pornographic images in total on February 10, 2011.

These included 2,084 child porn pictures ranging from level one to seven.

The higher the category of image the more serious the offence.

Hocking, who at the time was living at Gorse Close, in Copthorne, admitted possessing 1,483 indecent photos of children categorised as level one.

He had 227 level two photographs, 105 at level three and 244 at level four.

Hocking pleaded guilty to having 11 level five images, which are categorised as portraying children in erotic positions.

He was also in possession of 14 photographs at level seven, which depict children in explicit sexual activity.

Sussex Police have said the images were made between 1997 and 2001 and that they do not believe any of the children photographed are from the local area.

Hocking also pleaded guilty to having 31 “extreme pornographic” images which showed people performing acts of intercourse and oral sex with animals which were “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an offensive character”.

Judge Guy Anthony adjourned the hearing until May at the earliest for Hocking to be sentenced.

He said: “You have pleaded guilty to a number of serious offences.

“In due course you will be sentenced for these matters and I warn you to expect an immediate custodial sentence.”

Hocking was released on conditional bail until he next appears in court.

Among the strict conditions of his bail, Hocking has had to surrender his passport due to concerns he could attempt to leave the country.

Hocking, who has recently been living in Dorset, has also been ordered to sleep at his home address every night of the week

Teen rapist caught in bed with 12-year-old girl by her mother given four-year custodial sentence

Downpatrick Crown Court heard Brandon John Rainey, 18, had “groomed” his victim with flattery, cannabis and prescription drugs.

Rainey pleaded guilty to charges of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault, all on 1 April last year.

The judge said it was clear Rainey knew his victim was 12.

The court heard the girl’s mother caught the pair in bed together after they had exchanged social media messages.

It was claimed the mother physically assaulted Rainey before calling police.

Rainey, whose address was given as c/o the Young Offenders Centre, denied any wrongdoing when interviewed by police, but when DNA evidence was put to him, he claimed the girl told him she was 16.

Jailing him, the judge said it was clear that Rainey knew at all times his victim was a child of 12 and that even after he had been caught and assaulted by his victim’s mother, he continued to send the girl messages “to try to avoid detection”.

Rainey also told her to clear and delete any previous messages he had been sent.

The judge said that as well as being under a suspended sentence at the time of the rape, Rainey had been in court that day and had been made the subject of a year-long conditional discharge for public order offences.

It was because of his record, his attitude to the offence and because of his behavioural and mental health problems coupled with a history of “substance misuse and abuse” that the judge said he was deeming Rainey to be a “significant risk to the public”.

The judge said he believed the public would be best protected by an extended sentence, meaning that when eventually released by the Parole Commissioners, Rainey would have to serve an extra two years on supervised licence.

Rainey was also barred from working with children, ordered to sign the police sex offenders register and made the subject of a 10 year Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

Peepshow pervert caught on camera

kevin-todd

A BACKSTAGE voyeur filmed children as young as six getting changed for a stage show.

Kevin Todd, 33, had been working as a sound engineer for a production company staging a show at the Journal Tyne Theatre.

The production, the Tyne Theatre Stage School’s Gala Show, this summer had a cast of 170 children and young people aged six to 20.

After observing where the youngsters got changed, he left a concealed camera recording them undress between scenes of their July 8 performance.

The peeping Tom was only exposed when a changing assistant spotted the camera and confronted Todd, then alerted police.

Panicked Todd, of Rothbury Terrace, Heaton, Newcastle, sent desperate text messages to the stage school manager trying to cover his tracks. But footage showed he had even caught himself on camera after switching on the equipment.

He was today facing jail after pleading guilty to a charge of voyeurism and using observing equipment at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Prosecuting Susan Adcock said: “Children at the show were aged between six and 20, most of them aged under 16. The defendant, engaged as a sound engineer, had been employed to provide services for the Gala show.

“During a performance one of the changing assistants was present in the changing area when they found a camera covered by a shirt.

“The police were informed and came to take it away. When they examined the footage the defendant was seen on the screen having just switched it on. Footage of children changing followed.”

Ms Adcock continued: “During the interval the witness was seen by Todd, who subsequently sent her a text message saying, ‘I’ve done a stupid thing’.

“Todd sent the witness further messages saying, ‘I need to talk to you after the show. Please don’t take it any further, it wouldn’t affect the show’.”

The court also heard when Todd was later challenged by police over sexual attraction to children, he broke down in tears and cried, ‘I need help’.”

In a statement read out in court, Tyne Theatre Stage School’s principal Michaela Farren said: “I feel like I’ve had my trust betrayed. But my main concern is for the children and their families. For this to happen at a stage school is horrible.”

The theatre sent a letter to parents when the offences came to light.

Defending Tony Malian told the court Todd admitted placing the camera in the changing room but denied intending to film the children directly.

He said his client admitted a sexual fetish for theatre costumes, but his intention had been to show how quickly the children could get changed.

Todd sat still and emotionless as he was told he could face jail. Chairman of the magistrates Mr Lyons said: “We’ve looked at what makes this case more and less serious. We’ve also looked at the position of trust. Images of people, some of them children, were taken.

“We’ve also taken account of the shame you’ve shown. Given the seriousness of the offence we must consider a custodial sentence.”

The court adjourned before sentencing.

‘Grotesque’ paedophile pharmacist filmed himself repeatedly raping two-year-old girl

jo

A pharmacist was exposed as an evil paedophile when his long-term partner found horrific footage of him raping a two-year-old girl he had ‘drugged’.

Manchester Crown Court heard that behind an ‘educated and plausible’ facade, evil Jeremy Oketch hid a ‘deeply unnatural, twisted and obsessive sexual interest in very young children’.

Oketch, of Whalley Range, studied pharmacy in Manchester before being employed as an assistant at a branch of the Everest chain in the city.

He has now been jailed for 15 years and told he will not be released until the Parole Board consider it safe to do so.

He will remain on licence until 2038, after admitting two sex assaults and two rapes, dating back to December 2013.

After winning the trust of the child’s mother, he took Viagra and raped her when he was supposed to be looking after her.

The child’s eerily silent and ‘compliant’ demeanour throughout the footage – described as ‘exceptionally graphic’ by the judge – has sparked suspicions she was groomed and doped with drugs Oketch had access to at work.

Five months after the December 2013 attack, Oketch asked to babysit the child again and subjected her to an even worse ordeal.

He then transferred the footage to a hard drive as a sick trophy.

On July 19 last year, weeks after the second attack, his then partner made the shocking discovery and called the police.

Prosecutor Iain Simkin said: “She stated in that call she had found video of her partner molesting a child – she was distressed and scared.

“She described how he had been in a long-term relationship with him for four years and had cause to consider whether the defendant had been unfaithful to her.

“There had been previous incidents where he had recorded himself having sexual intercourse with other women.

“She went on to check a suitcase hidden on top of the defendant’s wardrobe. Within that there were two hard drives found.

“She viewed the footage and that point discovered that the defendant had been abusing the little girl. She heard a voice say at one point, ‘I need to go to the toilet.’”

Viewing the ‘grotesque’ and ‘horrific’ footage, which lasts fifty minutes, was a ‘difficult and distressing experience’ for even the experienced officers in the case, the court heard.

Prosecutor Iain Simkin added: “There’s a degree of criminality which appears on the DVD which could form more counts than appear, (but) we had to think carefully whether or not a jury could be subjected to (that) sort of video.”.

Mr Simkin said prosecutors had made efforts to see ‘whether it could be proved drugs had been administered’ as a result of how she appeared in the footage but were unable to prove it.

Remorseless Oketch, who the court heard had been ‘stressed’ by delays in his case, gave an account of his behaviour to probation officers after his guilty pleas, even telling them that he ‘didn’t need Viagra the second time’.

The child, who is not related to Oketch, has since shown signs of severe psychological trauma.

Her foster carer told court: “I hate to think what the long term effect will be.

“I only hope due to her age and the passage of time she is able to forget the abuse she has suffered.

“I worry how deeply ingrained the abuse is on her, I worry what the future will hold for her.”

Sentencing, Judge Hilary Manley described Oketch’s behaviour as ‘grotesque, lengthy, horrific, determined, calculated, prolonged and repeated assaults’.

“Most disturbingly of all, it reflects a very high level of control by you over the child, and her submission”, the judge told him.

“Its difficult to comprehend how a child of extreme youth could remain compliant. I’m told she is too young for tests to be carried out on her hair for the presence of the drugs.

“Her almost total silence throughout all of this is the most marked and grotesque aspect.

“You moved her around in different positions as though she were a doll rather than a human child.

“Your offence was only discovered because of suspicions of an entirely blameless woman.”

“Having viewed the footage I take the view this is no need at all for expert evidence as to the overwhelming likely effect of this grave offending on such a young child.

“You present as a plausible and educated individual and you exploited that to your advantage. I note little evidence of remorse.”

Branding him a danger to the public, she added; “You have a deeply unnatural, twisted and obsessive sexual interest in very young children.”

Former loyalist paramilitary admits historic abuse charges

A 70-year-old man who has appeared in court on historic sex abuse charges has been intimidated from his Shankill home.

Allistair Alexander Cousins – who spent time in jail in the 1970s and 1980s for loyalist paramilitary offences – admitted three charges of indecent assault which were committed on a teenage girl over three decades ago.

The pensioner, from Hopewell Crescent in Belfast, will be sentenced for the offences at a later date after the hearing was adjourned to allow him to attend a psychiatric appointment.

Crown prosecutor Kate McKay told Belfast Crown Court that the offences were committed on dates between July 1986 and January 1989, when the girl was aged between 14 and 16.

Ms McKay said that prior to the offending – which took the form of “innappropriate touching” – Cousins made comments about the changes in her body that puberty brought about, which made her “feel uncomfortable”.

The court heard that Cousins then started to touch and squeeze her both under and over her clothing “whilst under the guise of hugging her” at a house in the Shankill area of the city.

The prosecutor said the girl didn’t disclose what happened to her “for various reasons”, and the first person she told was her husband-to-be.

Acknowledging there was a “significant delay” in reporting the matter to police, Ms McKay said the woman was interviewed about the abuse in July 2012.

The woman, the court heard, has experienced low moods and difficulties coping which she has attributed to “the after-effects of the abuse that she suffered at the hands of the defendant”.

Judge Gordon Kerr QC heard that while Cousins has “serious matters” on his criminal record, he has “nothing of this type of offending”.

The two previous convictions in 1973 and 1980 were for robbery and associated offences “committed in the paramilitary context”.

Saying the abuse against the teenage girl was at the lower end of indecent assaults, defence barrister Eilis McDermott QC said her client had accepted his guilt.

She also revealed that Cousins “has most unfortunately been intimidated from the area where he lives and is now living with relatives”.

Philip Barlow

A church youth worker has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years behind bars after being found guilty of a number of counts of sexual assaults on a child.

Philip Barlow was found guilty of 13 charges following a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court last week.

The married 33-year-old, previously of Raleigh Road in Saltford, was convicted of eight counts of sexual assault on a girl aged under 13 and five counts of sexual activity with a girl under 16.

Barlow, who was a youth leader at Grace Bible Church where his father is the pastor, denied 28 allegations against him.

Telford man, 26, gets community order over child sex images

A Telford man has been handed a community order after being found with indecent images of children.

Kieran Williams had downloaded the images on to a portable hard drive.

The 26-year-old, of Albion Street in St Georges, , was given a three-year community order and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work after admitting two counts of making indecent images of children.

At Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday Judge Robin Onions said: “These are by far not the most serious images I have seen.

“He is a young man of previous good character who, like many, start off accessing adult pornography, which is not illegal.

“But as I understand it, and I am not speaking from personal experience, it starts as pop-ups which lead to illegal activity.”

The court heard that the girls pictured in the indecent images appeared to be between the ages of 14 and 17 and it seemed that the photos had not been made in a “forced environment”

Judge Onions said: “Everyone that looks at these images is exploiting the girls. Whether the girls consented to it or not is neither here nor there.”

The offences took place between May 25, 2010 and July 13, 2013.

Judge Onions said: “I expect that you are profoundly embarrassed and I afraid that you are likely to receive publicity for this case but it is important that it is understood that these are images of girls aged 14-16.

“These are not images of youngest children, some of whom are babies in arms.

“I think you have learned a valuable and embarrassing lesson.”

Williams will also take part in a sexual offenders’ programme as part of his community order, and placed under a sexual offences prevention order for five years.

Pervert (42) posed as young girl on Twitter to access child sex abuse images

Using Twitter, a 42 year old Cheltenham man pretended to be a young abused girl so that he could access child sex abuse images, a court heard today.

Martin Andrews, of St Albans Close, Warden Hill, Cheltenham, was detected by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children and police raided his home on 21st August last year, Gloucester crown court was told.

On his two laptop computers and storage discs police found 80 child sexual abuse videos – some of them at the worst Category A level, depicting pre-pubescent children being abused, said prosecutor Julian Kesner.

Andrews admitted seven charges of possessing the images and was given a three year supervision order by Judge Jamie Tabor QC who told him he had helped fuel the abuse of young children.

Telling Andrews to look at the written description of one of the videos in which a 5 year old girl was abused the judge said “If you were walking past a window and saw a grown up doing that to a five year old girl I hope you would have informed the police and that you would have stepped straight in and punched that person on the nose.

“I suspect you would have done but because it is on the internet there is this false idea that it is not really happening. It is. That five year old little girl was being brutally treated by some wretched man and the reason he was doing it was because people like you want to look at it and there is a market for it.

“That little child will be scarred for life, as will every other little child you were looking at images of.”

The judge ordered Andrews to attend 35 sessions of an internet sexual offender programme and he fined him £1,000. He told him he would have to sign the sex offender register for five years – and he made a sexual offences prevention order.

Mr Kesner had told the court “He was on Twitter using a false profile, pretending to be an abused child. He was communicating with many people who wanted to communicate with this supposed child.

“It is the first time I have come across Twitter being used in this way.”

Mr Kesner went through descriptions of what was seen on each of the videos referred to in the charges. They involved children, usually girls, aged from 5 to 13/14.

Judge Tabor observed that when arrested Andrews was ‘remarkably frank’ about what he had been doing and admitted that he got sexual excitement from seeing the videos.

Defence solicitor Emily Evans said he had ‘led a life of solitude’ and had not had a girlfriend for at least ten years.

His problems had begun with the death of his mother 20 years ago, after which he had lived with his stepfather until he left ten years ago, leaving him with the mortgage to pay, she said.

Andrews had worked in the engineering and catering industries but had lost his latest job because of the offences, she added.

He had confided in an uncle about his arrest and his current situation and that relative had accompanied him to court, said Ms Evans.

Man who pestered schoolgirl with sex texts is spared jail

i

A PERVERT who pestered a schoolgirl to send him naked pictures and asked her for sex walked free, despite the guidelines suggest prison sentence of up to six years.

The victim’s parents were in court to hear a judge say he was sparing him jail because of his low IQ and his guilty plea meant the youngster did not have to give evidence.

Judge Tony Briggs told the couple he had “a difficult balancing act” and added: “In these cases, it is not always easy to satisfy everybody, but I’ve done my best.”

Last night (Thursday, March 12), campaigners blasted the “lenient” sentence and said: “The justice system isn’t there to please, it’s there to uphold the law and protect society.”

Jamie Sutcliffe, 21, of from Darlington, was given a 15-month suspended prison term with supervision, and was put on the sex offenders’ register for ten years.

Judge Briggs told him what he had done was “disgraceful and criminal” and that invariably offences of his kind were dealt with by immediate custodial sentences.

But he added: “It’s quite obvious that sadly, in terms of getting on with others and conducting any sort of emotional or sexual relationship, you lack insight.

“You have difficulties and you act in a way which, had it been done by someone in full possession of their faculties and full age, then a lengthy custodial sentence would have followed.”

The Sentencing Council guidelines say the starting point for an offence of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity is three years – with a range of two to six.

The court heard that Sutcliffe was 19 at the time of his crimes and the girl was aged 14 – but his mental capabilities put him in the bottom one per cent of people.

He bombarded the teenager with text messages, bought her thong underwear and a watch with a Playboy bunny logo, and asked if she would like a sex toy.

Prosecutor Ian Mullarkey told the court that the girl was “scared” and finally agreed to send him a rude picture of herself “so he would leave her alone”.

Sutcliffe sent her a photograph of his penis, but she refused his invitations to meet for sex acts, and the alarm was raised when teachers heard about it.

Sutcliffe – who says he has a girlfriend and speaks fondly of her – admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and possessing an indecent image.

Pete Saunders, the chief executive of the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC), said: “It is hard to justify a non-custodial sentence, given the seriousness of these crimes, albeit the offender has difficulties.

“Where someone clearly does have issues, they should be in custody and closely worked with – that should apply to all offenders who are at risk of reoffending.

“It sends out an alarming signal that the issue of abuse is not being taken seriously enough, and you have got to feel for the victim and her family.”

A FAIFLEY man had a stash of porn so extreme that police officers were banned from analysing it on health and safety grounds, a court has heard.

Thomas Aitken, 32, was caught with the images — some of which featured bestiality — when police raided his home at Bryson Street in 2013.

Aitken pled guilty to having 13 illegal porn images on his computer at an earlier hearing and appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday for sentencing.

Fiscal depute Isobel Martin said the case was deferred several times as Aitken’s defence agent had requested more detail on what the images depicted but police refused to analyse them in detail.

She said: “From a health and safety point of view of the police officers preparing these reports, it was felt that it could be harrowing enough to view but to sit down and detail what each photograph contained would be simply too much.”

She quoted from an email the officer sent her refusing to carry out a detailed analysis, which stated: “It is bad enough for my staff to view these images all day but to have to microanalyse them and detail them is a lot worse.”

Aitken’s laywer, Tom Brown, said Aitken was very candid with social workers who prepared a background report on him after he pleaded guilty, telling them the offence “wasn’t a one-off.”

He added that Aitken would “benefit from some assistance.”

Sheriff Gallacher warned Aitken that accessing porn of the type he did was not a‘victimless crime’.

He said: “There are victims in these crimes and there are people involved in these crimes.” The sheriff sentenced the Faifley man to 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered that he is supervised for 15 months.

Fake adult film casting agent who tried to get schoolgirl to send naked video jailed

A 43-year-old man from Northampton who attempted to get a teenage girl to send a naked video of herself to him by pretending to be a casting agent for an adult film has been jailed for two years.

Jason Freshwater, of Treetops, Overstone Lodge, Northampton, appeared at Northampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to a charge of inciting a girl aged under 16 to engage in sexual activity.

The court heard Freshwater sent the girl a social media message in 2013 in which he told her she could earn up to £400 a day by appearing in an adult film.

Freshwater told the girl that he thought she was “just what they were looking for” but told her she would have to say she was over 16 years old.

The girl was told to send an email to a casting director called Matthew, who was actually a fictional person for whom Freshwater had created an email account.

Gary Short, prosecuting, said: “The defendant was acting as an agent for an amateur film company. The email was sent as part of an effort to trick the girl into taking pictures of herself.”

After the girl emailed the address to ask what sort of pictures were required, she received a reply in which it was stated he was looking for people who were “broad-minded sexually”.

Posing as the fictional ‘Matthew’, Freshwater said the film company was casting for two movies called Gentleman’s Club and Barely Legal 19.

He told the girl she would need to email at least five pictures of herself showing “full nudity” and said “most girls” send a video of themselves performing a sex act.

Mr Short said the girl did not send the images but Freshwater’s message were uncovered in August 2013.

Judge Lynn Tayton, sentencing, said it was a “deliberate attempt to exploit a child” and was “very predatory behaviour”.

Freshwater is likely to serve one year in jail before being released on licence for the rest of his sentence. He has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

Ex-Army major blames ‘horrors of Nairobi’ for collection of child abuse images

Colin-Grant

An ex-Army major traumatised by the horrors of the Nairobi Embassy terror attack and the Iraq War descended into a “cyber-hell” of child abuse images.

Colin Grant was caught with almost 2,000 obscene pictures and videos – some of them at the most extreme and graphic level.

The married 54-year-old was spared a jail sentence yesterday after a sheriff was told he had been left suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because of what he had witnessed during his military career.

His lawyer told Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday that Grant felt “abandoned” by the armed forces after witnessing scenes of carnage at the Nairobi Embassy terror attack and during the first Gulf War.

Advocate Shahid Latif claimed that when he was discharged from the Army after serving in the Adjutant General’s Corps, his PTSD went untreated and he “fell into the pornography trap as a coping mechanism”.

Colin-Grant-2

He pleaded with Sheriff Margaret Neilson to show “clemency and leniency in this most unique case”.

Grant, of Wellside Gardens, Balloch by Inverness, admitted downloading 1,996 images and videos.

Mr Latif added: “He served his country with distinction for 17 years and in his time of need, his country abandoned him, failing to treat his PTS.

“It is a lasting legacy of his time serving in the armed forces.”

The court heard that Grant was an acting major when the attack on the US Embassy in Nairobi was launched in 1998.

Mr Latif said: “It was the British Army’s first experience of terrorism of this kind. He had to assist in the aftermath. Then when in Iraq, he was the one reuniting body parts for the Iraqi families via the Red Cross.

“The relevance for that is there is a clear nexus between PTS and the pornography trap. It is a coping mechanism. His actions are down to his inability to cope with the stresses while with the armed forces.

“He is ashamed and disgusted with himself and he accepts he must bear the consequences. He does not seek to minimise his actions, but there is a road to rehabilitation for him to participate in certain programmes, and is it necessary to impose a period of imprisonment?

“The public interest could be best served by an alternative because this is a unique case. I ask for justice, clemency and leniency.”

Sheriff Neilson said it was an unusual case and because Grant had not been jailed before, other sentencing options were open to her.

She ordered him to do 300 hours of unpaid work and take part in sex offender and mental health programmes, remain under supervision and on the sex offenders register for three years.

Earlier, the court heard that Grant had returned from a holiday in the Caribbean to find his computers had been seized by police.

Fiscal Roderick Urquhart said Grant went to the Burnett Road police station in Inverness and assured officers there would be no illegal or offensive material found.

Mr Urquhart told the court: “However, he returned three days later in an agitated state and said he wanted to make a statement.”

He said Grant declined legal advice and said he had previously acquired software for films but it became apparent to him that as well as the files he was looking for, pornography was also available.

Investigations found the child pornography.

Grant admitted downloading the images and videos between January and September 2012.

Mr Urquhart added: “He had viewed and deleted images of adolescent boys and girls.

“His use had greatly increased when he purchased a new computer.

Top Thurrock police chief pleads guilty to indecent child image charge

Ben Hodder

Top Thurrock police chief Ben Hodder pleaded guilty this morning to a charge of making indecent images of children.

Hodder, who has been suspended as the district commander in Thurrock since his arrest, faced two charges of making indecent images of children.

It’s alleged five indecent images of children were discovered on an Apple MacBook and four on an Apple iPhone.

He pleaded guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court to the charge of making category B and C images of a child.

Hodder, who looked stricken in the dock, pleaded not guilty to the charge of making of category A images.

Both the charges relate to images made in July 2010 and between November and December 2013.

Hodder will be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register following sentencing on April 17 2015 at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Hodder, 34, of San Marcos Drive, Chafford Hundred, began his career policing the streets of Basildon and Grays before moving onto become district commander in Harlow in April 2010.

The chief inspector later moved to become divisional commander in Thurrock.

His case was transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court from Basildon Magistrates Court due to his policing links to Essex county.

Pub landlord found guilty of indecently assaulting a four year old boy as they played games at his flat

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The landlord of the La Providence Inn, Sandgate Billy Nutt, 54looked shocked when the verdict was announced today (Friday March 13) at Maidstone Crown Court.

Mr Nutt, a singer and guitarist who once backed Dame Shirley Bassey, quit showbiz to run pubs. He had pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court heard that Nutt had been friendly with the boy’s family for 35 years and described himself as ‘openly gay.’

He said he would take the boy out for a McDonald’s and a run in the local park or they would play guitar at a flat Nutt owned in Northfleet.

That all changed last March when the little boy told his mum that Nutt assaulted him. He told the court he’d blown raspberries on the lad’s stomach after lifting his T shirt up. He said the boy wanted to go to the toilet and when he finished Nutt pulled his trousers and pants up.

He told the court: “The T shirt came up and one of his arms came out. I noticed there was a lot of saliva on his belly so I wiped it off with a flannel. I think some saliva would have been transferred when I pulled his pants up.”

Nutt told the court he had taken the boy to his favourite burger bar and then went to the park which was closed. They went back to the flat and the boy watched a Spiderman video.

When police descended on his flat last March he said he was ‘shocked, stunned – full of disbelief.’ Later, traces of his saliva were found on the boy’s underwear. Police found a pornographic gay magazine showing men having oral sex when they raided the flat.

He said the magazine was kept under his bed and he hadn’t looked at it for months. He didn’t know why it was lying open on his bedroom floor.

Catherine Farrelly, prosecuting, said: “You are telling the ladies and gentlemen of the jury a pack of lies.”

Nutt replied: “I may be gay but I’m not interested in children in any way.”

He will be sentenced next Friday, March 20.
