Pervert pleads guilty to grooming and raping schoolgirl

A MAN who raped a 15-year-old girl after allegedly threatening to post naked photographs of her has been remanded for reports by a judge.

Cameron Chambers, 23, “groomed” the girl over an internet messaging service by pretending to be another 15-year-old, claimed Peter Cooper, prosecuting at Stafford Crown Court.

He told the court that the Crown would open the case against Chambers on the basis that the defendant raped the girl three times on three different days.

There was “extensive grooming” of the victim by Chambers and “sexual activities into which he subsequently coerced her by threatening to publish naked photographs of her,” said Mr Cooper.

Chambers, of Church Hill Street, Burton, admitted raping the girl on February 21 this year and a further two offences of rape on February 26 and March 3.

Darron Whitehead, defending, said Chambers had been on bail since his arrest on March 13 and asked the court for it to be extended until his client appeared again for sentence.

Judge Paul Glenn remanded Chambers on bail.

He told him: “I’ll adjourn for a pre-sentence report before you are sentenced on September 19.

“The report is intended to address your background and the issue of dangerousness.

“The type of sentence is inevitable in this case and no doubt you have been advised already.

“You have attended court each time and I am trusting you to return again.”

The judge made it a condition of the defendant’s bail that he resided at his home address.

He was also ordered to register with the police as a sex offender as soon as he left court.

Pervert avoids jail after downloading images of child abuse

A man who downloaded dozens of vile photos showing adults abusing young children has been spared a prison sentence.

Police found the pornographic pictures on Bobby Lay’s laptop after carrying out a raid at his Wolverhampton home, Stafford Crown Court heard.

In his web browser’s history, Lay had used search terms such as ’14-year-old models’ and ‘underage porn pictures’.

Mr Neil Ahuja, prosecuting, said an examination of the computer also showed that he had uploaded two of the indecent photos on to a file-sharing website.

Lay, aged 33, of Sherwood Street, Whitmore Reans, admitted four charges of making indecent images of children and two of distributing indecent images.

He was given a three-year community order with sex offender treatment and ordered to register as a sex offender for five years, banned from working with children indefinitely and told to pay £535 costs.

Judge Paul Glenn told him: “The police found a number of indecent images at levels one to four on your laptop.

“The pictures were both girls and boys and some plainly very young.

“You raised the suggestion of a virus – I am tempted to say I have heard all that before. You mention anxiety and depression.

“Your final position seems to be you have no recollection of downloading – I find that hard to accept and I find it hard to accept you have no sexual attraction to children.

“You suffer from post traumatic stress, you have plainly been affected by finding out the quite tragic details of your early childhood. In your case there is more to be gained from rehabilitation rather than locking you up for a short period.”

Mr Ahuja said the indecent pictures, found following the search on May 22 last year, comprised 397 at the least serious level one; 25 at level two; 68 at level three and 87 at the serious level four depicting children being abused by adults.

Some of the children were as young as four, while many were in the range of five to 10 years old.

Initially, Lay claimed there was a virus on his computer, then said he had been confused and that he had no sexual interest in children.

Mr Andrew Wallace, defending, said: “This is not a particularly aggravated case, it’s a modest number of images and doesn’t demonstrate someone who’s poring over the internet looking for images of abuse.”

Lay, who has a partner and a young son, was reluctant to accept what he had done because of the disgust shown by others.

Pervert pretended to be teenager to groom girl, 14

A convicted paedophile from Kent who pretended to be a teenager to encourage a 14-year-old girl to send him indecent images of herself has been jailed.

Nicholas Axon told his victim that he was 17 years old when he met her through a social networking site, Kent Police said.

They exchanged phone numbers and Axon encouraged the girl, from the West Midlands, to send him indecent pictures, a spokesman said.

But the 64-year-old, of Canterbury Road, Charing, near Ashford, was arrested after the girl’s father accidentally found an audio message from Axon on his daughter’s phone while transferring data and reported the matter to the police.

Officers discovered Axon, who was jailed for 18 months in 2010 for distributing and making indecent images of children, had breached a sexual offences prevention order.

He told the officers who arrested him: “I didn’t want to go inside again. I’ll go inside for this, even though I didn’t know their age.”

Axon pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual offences prevention order, possessing indecent images of children and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, and was jailed for four years and four months at Canterbury Crown Court.

Detective Sergeant David Shipley, from the Kent Police child exploitation investigation team, said: “I would encourage parents to speak to their children about safe use of the internet, and the dangers of speaking to people they don’t know online.

“I’m pleased that in this case we have been able to send Axon back to prison for breaching an order that was already in place, and for preying on a 14-year-old girl who believed she was speaking to a teenage boy.”

Brentford man who downloaded nearly 250 child abuse images is spared jail

A man from Brentford who downloaded nearly 250 child abuse images has been spared jail.

Donald Adams, of Layton Road, admitted downloading 247 indecent pseudo-photographs of children and printing another nine such images.

The 51-year-old appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday (August 18), where he was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for two years, for both counts. That means he faces jail if he re-offends in the next two years.

Adams was also given a two-year supervision order, told to attend a sexual offending behaviour programme and ordered to  sign on the sex offender register for two years. He had already been disqualified from working with children.

Pseudo-photographs are images which appear to be photos of children but have been manipulated, usually digitally. They are treated in the same way as actual photographs in court proceedings.

A Feltham man is due back in court next month after admitting making and distributing child abuse images.

Perverts nine-year jail term for raping boy, 14

dobson

An amateur radio enthusiast who raped a teenage boy who shared his interest has been jailed for nine years.

Kenneth Dobson, 74, of Kinmel Bay, Conwy plied the boy, 14, with whisky before carrying out the abuse, which happened more than a decade ago.

Dobson admitted indecently assaulting the boy but was found guilty of rape by a jury at Caernarfon Crown Court.

Judge Niclas Parry said at Caernarfon crown court that the victim had “idolised” Dobson. The abuse happened more than a decade ago.

Judge Parry said :”This case involved a gross breach of trust and targeting of a child.”

He told the defendant :”You came to see him as an object on whom you could satisfy your sexual urges.”

Defence counsel Sion ap Mihangel said the offences were “abhorrent” and the pensioner recognised it.

North Wales Police welcomed the sentence, which it said reflected the serious nature of the case.

Pensioner jailed for rape and sex offences against schoolgirl

adams

A PENSIONER who raped and carried out a series of sex offences against a schoolgirl has been jailed for 11 years.

A court heard Edward Adams’s 12-year-old victim was unlikely to ever get over the “profound psychological effect” of the campaign of abuse he subjected her to.

Adams, 76, of John Carr Avenue, Horbury. Wakefield, was given the lengthy sentence after a jury found him guilty

of two offences of rape on child under 13, four further sexual assaults and two of inciting a child under 13 to commit a sexual offence.

Leeds Crown Court heard the offences took place in the Wakefield area in 2012.

Adams was arrested when the victim told her mother about the abuse.

He continued to deny the offences throughout his trial during which the victim had to give evidence. Judge Geoffrey Marson QC, passing sentence, said: “The assaults began in a secluded area, in a wood, where for perfectly understandable reasons she felt trapped because she had no sensible means of escape and getting back home.” The judge added: “These offences will have had a profound psychological effect on her and I doubt she will ever be able to put these matters behind her.”

The court heard the girl now suffers flashbacks and still gets distressed over the offences Adams committed upon her.

The court heard Adams had now made some “limited admissions” of sexual offences against the girl.

Judge Marson added: “It’s a great pity you didn’t make these admissions before the trial began.”

Matthew Harding, mitigating, said: “He is 76-years of age, while he doesn’t have any serious health problems, clearly custody will not be easy for a man of his age, of hitherto good character.”

Pensioner jailed for 14 years for sexually abusing young girls

ramsey

A PENSIONER has been jailed for 14 years after he was found guilty of grooming and sexually abusing young girls in the 1980s and 90s.

Ramsey Ramsey, 79, of Grange Road, Newton, was found guilty of 36 counts relating to the grooming and sexual abuse of girls under 16 in the 1980s and 1990s.

The jury, of six men and six women, took a total of seven hours and 35 minutes to find Ramsey unanimously guilty of 16 counts of rape, 11 counts of indecent assault, three counts of procuring a child for sexual intercourse, three counts of making indecent images of children and three counts of indecency with a child under 14.

The judge, Recorder John Benson QC, directed the jury to find Ramsey not guilty on one count of indecency with a child under 14 as the witness said she could not be sure whether she was 14 or 15 at the time of the incident.

The assaults took place in Ramsey’s home in Newton, the Bombay Palace restaurant, on Upper Northgate Street, where Ramsey was a manager, and in another flat he owned on the Promenade, Southport.

The court heard, over the course of the 12 day trial, from five women who were victims of Ramsey. They all claimed they had been groomed by Ramsey after he befriended them and gave them gifts, food and alcohol before being taken to his flat on the Promenade, Southport, where he sexually abused them.

In his defence, Ramsey said that he had never had sex with any of the women as he had broken his back in 1974 and was unable to become sexually aroused as a result of the injury.

Jailing him, Judge John Benson QC, said Ramsey had not shown an “ounce of remorse”. He said: “Your inflated view of your celebrity status and wealth made you think you were untouchable. Justice has caught up with you because of the bravery or your victims.

“You have not shown an ounce of remorse. You have sought to discredit your victims and the police in, an at times, a most breathtaking fashion.

“You asserted that all of your victims had collaberated to tell wicked lies about you. At times it was character assasination and the jury have seen through it.”

Ramsey was jailed for 14 years for rape and must serve at least nine years before he is eligable for parole.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.

Jail sentences for two Wallsend perverts who abused same girl from the age of six

Untitled

Glen Dickinson (pictured above)

A young girl was subjected to a shocking campaign of abuse by a pair of vile perverts.

Schoolfriends Glen Dickinson and Andrew Hutton both molested the same girl when she was as young as six.

Acting together on occasions, the vile pair left the child terrified by carrying out a string of sex attacks.

Dickinson even told the youngster her mother would die if she reported him,Newcastle Crown Court heard.

The offences took place between 1997 and 2002 but the girl only plucked up the courage to report it last year.

Now Dickinson has been locked up for three years and four months while co-accused Hutton got a suspended prison sentence.

The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, told in a statement to the court how the abuse has ruined her life. She said: “I remember the abuse started when I was six and during it I felt scared, dirty and physically sick.

“I grew up believing the abuse was my fault and that I must have done something wrong to make them hurt me the way they did.

“At the age of 14 I began having panic attacks and suffering from anxiety and I turned to alcohol and drank heavily for seven years.

“I developed depression, self-harmed and tried to take an overdose and I don’t sleep and have nightmares and flashbacks.

“Glen and Andrew have messed my life right up and I’m the one suffering for what they did to me.”

The girl first remembered being abused when she was six and Dickinson and Hutton were still youths.

She recalls Hutton molesting her while Dickinson was present and she was left in tears and scared to tell anyone.

On another occasion Hutton tried to rape the girl while his pal was there, the court heard, but they were disturbed by an adult.

After that Dickinson also started to regularly abuse her. The girl said Dickinson abused her more than Hutton but there were times when both were present.

Dickinson, 31, of Burns Closes Crescent, Wallsend, pleaded guilty to indecency with a child and four charges of indecent assault and was locked up for three years and four months. He must also sign the sex offender register and was given a sexual offences prevention order aimed at restricting his behaviour once he is released.

Hutton, 31, of Howdon Lane, Wallsend, pleaded guilty to attempted rape and two counts of indecent assault. He was given two years’ prison suspended for two years and must also sign the sex offender register. Peter Schofield, for Dickinson, said: “He had a deplorable upbringing and was sexually abused himself as a child. He has nightmares about being locked in a cupboard.”

Tom Moran, for Hutton, said he was involved in less incidents of abuse than his friend, who he knew after the pair attended a special school together.

Newport pervert preyed on 10-year-old girl on social media site – Community order given

A PERVERT preyed a 10-year-old girl by asking her if she “talked dirty to men” and wanted to see an indecent image of a man, a court heard.

David Roberts, 61, struck up the conversation on a social networking site using “child like” terms and talking about dolls, Newport Crown Court heard.

However, he later asked her if she drank and smoked and offered to send her the sexual image but the conversation left the girl “confused” and he was arrested two days later, the court heard.

Police found he had viewed around 560 indecent images of children on his computer, including 33 in the “serious” category A, said prosecutor Jason Howells.

Roberts, of Clearwell Court, Newport, later pleaded guilty to three counts off possessing indecent images of children and a further charge of possessing prohibited images of children.

Judge DJ Hale gave him a three-year community order including an internet sexual offender treatment programme and ordered him to sign on the sex offenders’ register for five years.

The court heard he had previously been jailed for an offence of a dissimilar nature but did not impose a custodial sentence as he was not charged with an offence in connection with the social media contact with the child.

Judge DJ Hale told him: “On the basis of your own viewing of child porn and porn over a period of three years, I think the community is best served by you undergoing a sexual offender treatment programme.”

Defence barrister Simon Goodman said his client had gone to prison before and indicated his “first step” would be to “recognise he has a problem”.

He told the court: “If this man poses a threat to children it needs to be identified.”

Judge Hale imposed the three-year order concurrent on each count and gave him a 10-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order which will restrict his online viewing and contacts with children under 16.

He also ordered him to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Court convicts man of sexual touching after incident involving three-year-old on bus

A man with a “fanatical obsession” with small girls targeted a three-year-old child on a bus, a court heard.

Stephen Munden deliberately sat near the child and stroked her hand with his finger – in full view of the girl’s mother and grandmother.

Munden, formerly of Brittany Gardens in Marchwood, was subsequently convicted of sexually touching a child under the age of 13.

The 53-year-old had denied the offence, claiming the touching was accidental.

Appearing at Southampton Crown Court for sentencing, Munden heard David Jenkins, prosecuting, tell Judge Peter Henry that the defendant had admitted ten unrelated offences of possessing or attempting to possess indecent images of children.

The defendant was arrested after using one of the public computers at Hythe library in an attempt to download images, the court heard.

Mr Jenkins said children’s clothes, books and dolls were found at Munden’s home and added: “He has a fanatical obsession with young girls.”

Consultant physiatrist John O’Shea said the defendant was autistic and also suffered from mild learning difficulties.

He had difficulty controlling his sexual interest in small children but the girl on the bus was probably unaware of his intentions, said Mr O’Shea.

Keely Harvey, in mitigation, added: “He did not accept that he deliberately touched the child’s hand.”

But the judge said: “The move from non-contact offences to a contact offence is significant.”

Munden was made the subject of a hospital order and detained under the Mental Health Act.

Chesterfield man escapes jail after police raid uncovers his haul of child abuse images

A Chesterfield man was caught with more than 1,500 indecent images or films of children after police found them on his computer following a drugs raid at his home.

Stephen Riley’s hard drive contained images or movies of young girls performing sex acts and one of a 12-year-old girl performing a sex act on a dog.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Riley, of Kenyon Road, had a selection of extreme pornography which included all five categories.

Noel Philo, prosecuting, said once his hard drive had been analysed there were 1,333 images, nine of which were the most serious category five, and 277 movies, of which three were also category five.

Judge James Sampson told 47-year-old Riley: “Those who download and watch this kind of material from the internet are participating in the abuse of children.

“I do not regard any of the mitigation put forward as sufficient to keep you out of jail.

“However the probation service say they can work with you under a supervision order whereby you will be required to attend regular session with a sex offenders rehabilitation group. And it seems to me the public can be protected from you at this stage by the imposition of one.”

Mr Philo said police attended Riley’s home on a drugs warrant on June 18, 2013.

He said: “The incident arose because of the execution of a drugs warrant on the defendant’s premises.

“At that stage there were 34 cannabis plants found inside in various stages of growth.

“It was as that warrant was being executed that an (pornographic) image was seen on the computer screen.”

Mr Philo said officers seized the computer and it was analysed for pornographic images.

On it were found 1,012 images and 55 films of category 1; 49 images and 28 movies of category 2; 116 images and 19 movies of category 3; 147 images and 120 films of category 4 and nine images and three films of category 5.

Mr Philo explained to the court what some of the images and moving films contained.

Riley pleaded guilty to 17 counts of possessing pornographic images of children and one count of cultivating cannabis.

Judge Sampson handed him 36-months supervision during which he must attend a sex offenders programme.

Riley must also sign the sex offenders register indefinitely, was made the subject of a sex offenders prevention order, must have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16 and not to access the internet.

Adrian Reynolds, for Riley, said: “He knows there was a substantial amount of images of the worst category.

“If you send him to prison I don’t imagine there are many people out in the community that will argue with you.

“There are problems with this man’s perception of the enormity of what he has done but he has been open with his family about what has happened.

“His mother, uncle and son know what has happened.”

Moyross man pleads guilty to sex assault charges

A Limerick man has pleaded guilty to 12 charges of sexually assaulting a
young girl over a 19 month period.

46 y ear old John Massey with an address in Moyross admitted committing the offences in Limerick on dates between August 2005 and March 2007 .

The victim was just 12 y ears of age when the first incident took place.
Sentencing will take place at Limerick Circuit Court later this year.

Defence Counsel Aileen Donnelly SC sought a date for sentencing in October after informing the court that her client John Massey is currently in the care of a psychiatrist who is preparing a report which she expects to have by the end of July .

The 46 year old defendant pleaded guilty to 12 counts of sexually assaulting the now 15 year old girl at an address in Limerick city over the 19 month period.

Prosecuting Counsel John O’Sullivan said there is no objection to Mr Massey being remanded on continuing bail and added that there is no basis for protecting his identity .

However, he said the anonymity of the victim should be respected.

Judge Sean Ó Donnabháin made an order to have John Massey ‘s name added to the sex offenders register and adjourned the case for sentencing on October 6th.

Pervert had sick video of baby being bound and sexually abused

A PERVERT who downloaded a video of a baby being bound and sexually abused has been jailed for two years.

The “repugnant” clip was among hundreds of indecent images found on computers belonging to John Johnson, Durham Crown Court heard.

“Police had been tracking child pornography downloads,” said Ian Mullarkey, prosecuting. “As a result of those inquiries, they visited Johnson’s home in Ryton Crescent, Seaham.

“Two computer towers belonging to him were seized and analysed.

“This analysis showed internet searches had been made using paedophilic terms.

“A program on the computers had been used in an attempt to delete the internet history.”

The court was told investigators found 142 indecent still images and 246 indecent moving images.

More than 20 were of the most serious level five category, and 155 images were categorised as level four.

Johnson, 39, of Ryton Crescent, Seaham, admitted one charge of making indecent images of children in January, last year.

The court heard he has two previous convictions for sexual assault on girls over 16 years.

Lorraine Mustard, defending, said: “The sex assaults were some time ago, and there has been no repetition since then.

“Mr Johnson knows he has a problem and has sought help with it. He deliberately keeps himself away from children, and, as a self-imposed safeguard, he refuses to allow any young people to visit his home.”

Judge Peter Kelson, QC, jailed Johnson for two years.

The judge told him: “All of these cases are repugnant, but the images in this case are more repugnant than most. The bound child was clearly in distress, which in turn reflects the depth of your depravity.

“I accept you have sought help, but you have failed at that and remain a danger, so strong are your paedophilic tendencies.”

Johnson was banned from unsupervised contact with children and his internet use restricted for five years.

He must register as a sex offender for five years.

Van man who tried to lure 11-year-old with sweets faces jail

perv

A man is facing jail after being convicted of trying to entice a young boy into his van – with a bed fitted in the back.

Eddie Montgomery, 63, is said to have pulled up beside a boy of 11 in Dreghorn and said: “Do you want to come into my van to get some sweets?”

The child ran away in tears and police circulated an emergency description of Montgomery and his vehicle.

PC Lee Wilson had just let Montgomery go after a routine check when the urgent message came over his radio.

He was told to stop the van again and look in the back.

PC Wilson said: “The driver opened the van and I saw a single mattress and bedding. There were red-coloured panels fitted on the inside.” Montgomery was taken into custody.

A woman said her 11-year-old grandson was in a “terrible state” after a white van braked heavily beside
him and the driver asked him to get in.

The man said to the boy: “All right wee man. Do you want to come into my van to get some sweets?”

The woman, 58, identified the driver as Montgomery, sitting in the dock at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

She said her grandson was crying and upset after the incident in Dreghorn’s Islay Court, adding: “He was saying the man tried to get him inside his van.”

A boy of nine described his terror after spotting a white van approaching after a young girl was “kidnapped” in a similar vehicle.

The youngster had been playing with his 11-year-old brother and a friend, 12, at the shore in Ardrossan.

He told the court through a video-link: “He reversed and stopped and kept looking to see where we were going.

“A few weeks before we read in the paper that a wee girl had been kidnapped by someone in a white van.

“We got over the wall then ran through the grass.

“He drove his van when he saw us running then when we climbed over the fence he stopped.

“When we got to my friend’s house my mum and her mum were there and they got the police.”

Asked by prosecutor Stuart McMillan how he felt, the boy replied “terrified”, adding: “He had a long beard and long hair. He scared me and his beard scared me.”

A 14-year-old girl described returning from school in Saltcoats and seeing Montgomery, whose eyes “followed us all the time”. They fled into a shop for safety.

Montgomery, of Ardrossan, was found guilty of three charges of breach of the peace in Dreghorn and Ardrossan between February 2012 and May 2013.

He admitted being at the locations but denied staring at any children, claiming he had been looking for a friend.

Sheriff Brian Murphy told Montgomery there was a “significant sexual element” and put him on the Sex Offenders Register. he will be sentenced next month.

At Gloucester Crown Court on Monday, August 18, Glen Allsopp, aged 18, now living in Albert Road, Ledbury, pleaded guilty to raping the girl twice in Dymock between July 22, 2009 and August 31, 2010 while she was aged eleven and twelve,

Allsopp also admitted sexually assaulting another girl by digital penetration between November 10, 2011 and November 12, 2012.

But he denied a fourth charge of rape against the first girl and this charge is expected to lie on the court file and not be proceeded with.

A basis of pleas that the defendant was reckless as to whether consent was given and was unaware that the rape victim showed distress afterwards was accepted by the Crown.

A further basis of plea that the digital penetration was “minimal” and the defendant stopped as soon as he was aware that the complainant was moving away was also accepted.

Prosecuting barrister Kanaan Siva said: “Nevertheless both complainants were not consenting and their privacy was invaded.

“The remaining count is likely to be allowed to lie on the file.”

The judge, Recorder Nicholas Atkinson, said: “These sort of offences invariably attract a custodial sentence but there is a historic element to them and the defendant himself was a young teenager at the time.

“But he must sign the Sex Offenders Register immediately and, before I sentence, him I will need to know a lot more about him.”

Probation and psychiatric pre-sentence reports were ordered to be prepared and Allsopp was granted conditional bail until November 7, when he will learn his fate.

Sex attack in public toilets

A 70-year-old man who terrified a teenage boy by forcing him into a public lavatory cubicle has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Charles Dunford, from Neal Court in Waltham Abbey, made a “pass” at the 14-year-old in Grundy Park, Cheshunt on April 6 this year.

Dunford, a former coach driver for a football club, admitted a single charge of sexual activity with a child at at St Albans crown court this week.

David Baird, for the prosecution, said that shortly after 6pm the boy was near to the entrance of the park when he decided to use the nearby public toilets.

On hearing voices coming from inside, he walked away and saw the defendant.

Mr Baird said Dunford tried to talk to the youngster who ignored him and walked away.

However Dunford followed him and close to the library tried to put his hand on the boy’s back.

The teenager pushed the older man away and realised he needed to visit the public lavatory.

On coming out of the cubicle he saw Dunford standing by a urinal. He appeared to be fondling himself.

Dunford then pushed the boy back into the cubicle and followed him in.

He tried to kiss the boy who struggled free and made off.

The following day the defendant was arrested in Grundy park as he sat on a bench.

After hearing Dunford had spent 170 days in custody on remand, Judge John Plumstead gave him a 12 month prison sentence suspended for two years.

He said his name must go on the sex offenders register for the next five years and he was told he must never work with children again.
